Very good
I usually use the vanilla bean paste but it’s very expensive! So I have added this along with the paste and seems to work.

Great flavor!
I love, love this vanilla! I use it when I want the vanilla flavor to come through! Try it in a crème bruleee, sugar cookie, or pound cake! Oh, in buttercream!!! Anywhere you want a distinct flavor.

The only brand of vanilla I use!
A vanilla cake will never be boring with Heilala vanilla in your batter. This is the only brand I trust for my cakes! I love the look of the seeds in the cake and buttercream. (Like my favorite brand of ice cream!) Worth every penny!

More like a watery syrup. Very sweet and a bit light in flavor, but yummy.
This Heilala Gourmet Vanilla with Seeds is not what I would consider an extract. And, so far, I haven't noticed any seeds, but maybe they fall to the bottom. The bottle is plastic and dark, so you cannot see into it nor can sun or light degrade it, either. I would have preferred glass, but I have transferred mine to a large glass amber bottle, so it's no biggie.I was surprised that it has 16% alcohol, because when I tasted it plain I did not taste much, if any of it. It is very sweet and has a lighter vanilla flavor than I'm used to. It seems more like a watery simple syrup. Like its flavor, its ingredients are not what I would expect to be in an extract. It just says it is made using "Vanilla Bean extractives in water and alcohol".I added it to my coffee and had to add quite a bit to get a good taste of the flavor, and it added sweetness along with it. I use a sweet, sugar-free creamer, so I didn't need any other sweetener for my large coffee. It was almost too sweet. It does have a good authentic vanilla flavor and tastes yummy. Because of all the added sugar, I'm not sure how one would use this in baking/cooking.This is a very sweet vanilla flavoring/syrup, with a nice light flavor. It is a large bottle that may go a bit quicker than I expected, because of the need to use a bit more to get enough flavor. I wish it weren't so sweet, but I still really like it. If its ingredient content and flavor profile get your taste buds watering, and you are not expecting an extract, I would definitely recommend it.

Good vanilla extract with the added benefit of seeds for aesthetics!
I am a home baker, well.. hobby baker. Well, actually, a whenever I get some free time baker now with a toddler and an infant, oh and a full time job. That aside -- I love to bake. It makes me happy, and making treats that make other people happy makes me immensely happy. With that being the case, I'm fairly particular about some of the ingredients that I use. I'm picky about my flour, my sugar, and my vanilla. My favorite vanilla is fairly pricey, and there are times when I feel that using vanilla of that quality is just not necessary based on what I am making and the occasion for making it.I've done the TJ's vanilla, big box vanilla, and they're all ok. I sometimes go between vanilla extract and vanilla bean paste. I think the thing that caught my eye with this is that it is vanilla extract with seeds -- so I get the best of both worlds -- easy to pour extract along with the aesthetics of seeds that I normally have to use vanilla bean paste for. I have never used this brand before, so I was excited to try it out. This has a good vanilla flavor, I prefer it to what I find on the shelves in the grocery stores. It is sweet, but not sickeningly so. The flavor is a more natural vanilla, which I like. Some extracts are too strong, too sweet, or just taste too 'fake'. I love that it includes that seeds so I can get the aesthetics in vanilla bean frosting without having to combine two flavorings -- just make sure that you shake well before using.I also like that this brand give back to the communities that they get their vanilla pods from.

Not what I expected
I was under the impression that this was Pure Vanilla Extract and excited to see it described as a Gourmet Product. Well, it's certainly not your regular Vanilla Extract. It's sort of very sweet Vanilla flavored kind of syrup with added vanilla seeds. Unfortunately I have not found the seeds yet. Maybe they fell to the bottom of the bottle and will show up at the very end of use. Not sure what to say about this product which I was a little disappointed about. For the price of it I had expected something different.
