As described
It came in a wooden crate, and was completely assembled. I can't tell you how nice that was. I haven't really put it to the test yet but the best I can tell it will work accordingly.

This machine is a real problem solver
Getting heavy things up and down stairs is now a breeze! I mostly use this to move pinball machines up my straight-shot, 19-step wooden staircase to my upstairs game room. This machine does not harm the finished wooden steps, which is important. I cannot believe that I can now safely move these 250+ pound pinball machines up and down the stairs by myself! This machine has an extension handle that goes up very far so that you can grab it cleanly above the load, and you can easily increase the angle of the stair climbing treads to make the move comfortable. The battery is very strong and lasts a good while - I've used it several times and it still shows fully charged. Since pinball machines are pretty wide around, the only thing that I would ask improvement on is the seatbelt length - it is long enough to secure many items I'm sure, but not quite long enough for a pinball machine (even fully extended). To get overcome this, I just use a tie down strap instead. In summary, this was a great purchase that will continue to serve me well for many years!

Really helps to move large/heavy items without damaging stairs (or your back!)
First the good news, this does exactly what it is supposed to do - and it does it very well! I got the orange unit with the extensions that attach to the noseplate for moving large items, 440 pound capacity, fixed speed. I moved a 100 pound gas grille by myself up two long flights of stairs with ease, the rubber tracks get great traction on your stairs but DON'T damage them. I may only use this once or twice/year, but it's worth the high price tag for me to not strain my back or risk damaging my Azek stairs. There IS, however, room for improvement. Let's start with those extensions that attach to the noseplate, they attach by means of a hinge pin - you can see that in the manufacturer photos. I assumed (and I guess most would) that these plates flip over onto the top of the noseplate when the extra width is not needed. Nope, that's not the case - you have to remove them entirely when not in use. It would be SO much more practical to just have these plates be dual-purpose - filling in the otherwise open noseplate area OR flipped off to the sides to provide additional width. I put mine in a box in the garage and will probably never use them accordingly. On the subject of the noseplate - beware that this is an elevated noseplate with 4 casters beneath it. This makes it EXTREMELY maneuverable but since the loading area is elevated several inches be prepared to lift your load up and onto the noseplate (i.e. you can't slide the noseplate under your load like you would with a standard hand truck). The cargo belt provided is way too short, it would be helpful if this were longer or a longer extension were provided (especially for the orange "large load" unit that I purchased). I just went to the hardware store and bought a cargo strap, but for this price I shouldn't have to do that. This ships in a wooden crate and it's fairly heavy, but the wood used for the crate is flimsy and thin. You can actually see the shipping crate in the photos provided by the manufacturer. In my case the case cracked and started falling apart during shipping, this resulted in the parcel being held by Fedex for 5 days - they eventually repackaged the crate using cardboard Fedex boxes and then finally delivered it to me. I think the manufacturer needs to evaluate whether the wooden crate they are using is strong enough and either beef it up or ship the crate with a cardboard layer (as Fedex eventually did).As others have said, the instructions are mostly useless and in the case of the orange "large load" unit I purchased the instructions were wrong (they sent the instructions for the yellow "standard load" unit which is similar).Overall, I'm satisfied but this is an expensive tool and there is room for improvement.

Works great! Up, down stairs no problem
Works great, long battery life. Used to move washer's and dryers up and down stairs. Toolboxes, furniture also. The only mod I did was cutoff the seat belt strap, and replace it with a cam operated tie down strap. Much quicker to secure stuff.

Seller is bad news
I received this product and it did not work. The washer slid off the dolly and damaged the wall.We had to repair the wall and make arrangements to have the washer moved for us.The seller offered an $80 discount and then said that I could just keep it and resale it to someone else. What type of business is this ?I have to get permission to send the item back. The seller is prolonging the process so I will have to keep this item. Very poor business practice. The last email I was told by the seller that they have never heard from me before.Such a scam.

Very strong - be careful
The media could not be loaded. I use the handcart to move pellet stoves up and down stairs. I’ve had a 350lb stove on the lift and it handled it with ease. Be sure to have the tracks set to the max recline. As soon as the weight shifts forward, there’s no way you can stop it from timing down hill. I tried lifting a heavy stove up stairs without the track at the lowest decline. As soon as I got up the first step the stove tilted away from me. I held onto the grab bar and it threw me over the stove and into the yard. The lift is very, very strong and it’s easy to use and holds a charge for a long time. Wet wooden stairs can be very slippery. The sharper the edge on the stair, the better. I can also use the tracks when leaned back to move on flat ground as well under power.

Great seller
Product didn’t work for my needs only because of the shape and limited space of the landing in my stairs but seller promptly provided good service and allowed the return and sent a shipping label for full refund. Product is very sturdy though and should work well for most purposes.

Back Saver!
I’m in the process of a move and I’ve gotten done in one day what I’ve been doing for the last three months! Handles stairs like a breeze. Now all my boxes can go in one centralized location and I can get this house staged and ready to put on the market. I’m so glad I found this handtruck. Now I just hope it holds up long enough to get me into the new house and years to come. Will update.
