Perfect for young toddlers
Overall, I'm satisfied with these. Serve the purpose of getting my 18 month old son on the ice. He's still not capable of skating on his own (I have to support him), but the wide double blade on these make it easier on me when I am also on skates. For young children, I think these are fabulous for letting them use their own boots or shoes. It was very quick to take these off when my son decided he was "done" with skating without having to change or keep track of shoes...and then 2 minutes later wanted to "skate" again and we were able to make that happen. Parents of toddlers will hopefully know what I mean by that! The size flexibility is also a huge bonus for growing feet.

Straps/buckles no good
The buckles pop off when you tighten them. They are useless. The strap is supercheap. The rest works fine. We just tied them on. I will have to jerry rig this with extra buckles i have around to get it to work BUT my son liked them and was able to get around on the ice super easily. Edited - tying, the straps hit the ice, I tried new buckles I had on old backpacks, but they would not stay tight and would come loose, I had to buy new straps on amazon for the buckles. Its alot to get these to work. These are good for kids who dont have the ankle strength to wear single blades. I tried single blades on my son and he just tried walking with them, double blades allow them to stomp along before they are really ready to glide along.

They work, but lots of problems too.
Super cheap product, obviously of mass manufacturer in China or someplace like China. The purveyors of these skates could (and should) do a few things to make sure that they are up to the standards of customers in a 1st world country. For one, the holes where the straps need to be inserted are blocked, sealed up with plastic from some kind of manufacturing error. It looks like they came out of a hot mold and the hole melted shut. I had to heat up a screwdriver with a plumbing torch to punch out the holes. The buckles that clamp down on the straps don’t work well and should be better. The nylon straps are about 4x too long for a child’s feet. They will have to be cut. If you don’t realize this before you get to the ice, you’ll wind up trying to cool up the slack and tie it off and tuck it in a sock or something, and that’s dangerous. Also, when you do cut them you’ll need to cauterize the cut with a flame because this is the kind of nylon that will immediately unspool into a million loose slippery threads. After about 1/2 hour, we lost the wing nut that holds the to and the heel of the slate together. Spent a long time searching for it and never found it in a busy ice rink. The only positive was the fact that my 2 year old was able to balance and slide around in the ice enough to feel like she was skating, and she had fun.

These were amazing for my 2
These were amazing for my 2.5yr old! She had a blast skating. She did well by herself, but loved when we pushed her or held her hands gliding over the ice.

You get What you pay for
my 2yr old loved the ice when she got out on it on these. A couple of ideas, questions.1: The back strap had to be dremmeled out to get the strap to go through for there was no hole. Thats just weird but easy fix.2: Do they need to be sharpened? She was all over the place on the ice. no matter how she stood, her feet came right out on her.3: Yes they feel cheap, but they work so im not so worried about it. She will outgrow them before the next season probably.

I ORDERED 4 PAIRS!!! The strap will not thread through!
The slot where the strap goes through is not open on one of each skate!!! You can only thread the strap on one side. Please advise how to remedy this, or if I am doing something wrong. The quality of the skate is very good. However, the strap situation--the hole to put the strap through, is closed up! PLEASE HELP! We have a big family skating party coming up at our house.

Ok but no quality control on manufacturing
Seems simple enough can't go wrong, right right) they forgot to drill out the hole for one of the straps! I had to tap it out with a nail punch and trim it with a knife. On both skates! Right side by ankle. I'm sure they'll be fine with my modifications.

Perfect for little beginners!
These are just like the kind I grew up with in Canada. Perfect for little ones to develop a love of skating before they are ready for the balance. My 1 1/2-year-old did great on these skates and had so much fun! the straps keep them securely attached to their shoe without any slipping and the blades were not too slippery so she could enjoy her first experience on the ice. Highly recommended!

Would only recommend if MUCH cheaper.
Not worth more than $8.These are very low quality skates - which is fine, no one who actually skates would use these... they're for 'introducing' kids to skating. So if thats why you're looking at buying these, consider this:- They don't hold tight, if you're not paying attention they'll come lose, continually fall off, and your kid will have a miserable experience. Tighten them every once and a while and you'll be OK.- They're really low quality, and provided your kid doesn't hate skating after dealing with the above - you probably won't use them for more than a couple outings... so why pay $26 for something you're about to throw/give away?If you can find these for <$10 and don't want to invest in real skates as your kids feed grow - get them. They surely don't cost more than $4 to manufacture. More than $10 I do not recommend.

Do not buy
The straps don't tighten up enough & my daughter lost her skates several times while skating and the back of the heel broke after 2 uses.

DEFECTIVE PRODUCT
These are very basic skates so I did not expect the quality to be stellar. Unfortunately I had to return them as they were defective the holes where the straps go were not drilled right through. After reading some of the reviews I realized this was a common defect for this product.I returned this item for a full refund and bought the same pair at Canadian Tire for $12.

Low quality plastic locking mechanism
I was so excited to give them to my son. Unfortunately the plastic strap locking mechanism was busted. The plastic in it was chipped and did not lock the strap in place at all. Not even a little bit. My little son was very disappointed.

Cheap and it doesn't stay in place
Cheaply made. The stripes doesn't hold in place for nothing. I've tried all the knots and laces I know and it simply doesn't hold. Not recommended.
