It’s really nice looking and works - somewhat
In black, the shape and size, I think is beautiful. It has the now-standard integrated spoon and pressure relief valve. Ironically, it’s smooth and slick shape that make gripping it can be a problem.Downside: if the container is not filled to the top with the hot food, it becomes warm from heat loss.I will still use and I still like it, but that is a major downer.

Warm school lunch
My kids refuse to eat school lunch. I was packing sandwiches and cold bento boxes for the first half of this school year. Now my kids take home cooked food almost everyday.I usually pour boiling hot water into clean container and let sit for about 3-5 minutes. Dump hot water out, then put hot food in container put on the seal cap and top. Food is still at least warm by their lunchtime. Kids are happy with them, that’s all that matters to me.

If you're looking to send hot lunch to school, buy this one!
I did a ton of searching for a good thermos - my kiddo was tired of sandwiches and hates school lunches. This little thermos is a game-changer! I heat it up with boiling water as recommended, warm the food and it's perfect eating temp by lunch time (approx 5 hours). The whole process takes about 7 minutes in the morning while we're making breakfast - I don't even bother drying it, just let it sit upside down for a minute and its hot enough that the leftover water will mostly evaporate before I fill it. I find it easiest to use my food scale to weigh out the leftovers the night before so I always know I have the correct amount - it easily holds around 400mls. The first couple times, I heated the food too much and it was too hot for him to eat at lunch! There's been a couple times I've gone to clean it after school (10-ish hours later) and the leftovers are still tepid. Cleans up quickly and the included spoon is a nice touch. The seal can be removed for washing and is very good quality. He can open it himself (10yo) easily as long as I don't crank the lid on super tight (it doesn't need to be, I rate it super highly on being leak-proof). We've had it for a couple months now and use it every school day, it still looks like new. 10/10 would recommend!**tip - make sure to clean it every night, it gets smelly quick if left overnight with scraps/leftovers. Just a quick hand-wash and air dry overnight. That's in the instructions, and spot-on. Make sure to not let that happen! It does still clean well, but I imagine if left for several days, it would start to affect the sealing ring.Side note - We've never tried it with cold food, only hot. I'm interested to see how it would perform with like - ice cream or a smoothie if primed with ice first! That'll be a spring/summer thing. :-)
