I love these!!
Soo im no expert on the bonsai world im just an ordinary guy who naturally has a green thumb and wants to experiment with the wonderful and exotic bonsai methods. I bought these because of the great reviews and because they are made in japan which says alot. I can honestly say that these are AMAZING!!! they feel great in the hand ( when you hold them right ). These aren't like scissors. You place your four fingers inside one loop and your thumb on the other. It's easy and feels natural. They are VERY sharp!! So be careful. All in all these are really worth the money and would definitely pay more for them.

This pruning scissor is high quality
I’ve purchased lower and cheaper tools which I end up throwing out as they aren’t very good quality. This mid-priced tool is exactly the one I would recommend.

Defect/burr on edge of blade
I bought these scissors a few months ago. I probably used it 4-5 times to prune a few of my very young beginner's bonsai. Basically only removing the tip of young growth on a few junipers and chinese elms. When I took the scissors out a few days ago, I noticed that when I was closing the blades during the cutting motion, the blades would sometimes only close 2/3 of the way . Close inspection of the cutting edge of the blades showed very tiny imperfections (burrs?) that prevented the blades to smoothly slide over each other to finish the cutting process. Very disappointed as I thought I had bought a quality bonsai tool.

Beginner Bonsai
Love these for trimming and removing small diameter branches. Has some heft, feels well made and extremely sharp. Doesn't take much effort when removing small branches or pruning new growth. Feel it was a great purchase. Will likely purchase more
