Sundown Audio SAEv3-1500D Monoblock 1500W RMS Amplifier SAE-1500D V.3

I used this amp for a Deaf Bonce 12” and it rocks. Simply awesome.

This amp is complete hot garbage. It goes into protect mode spontaneously, at any volume, doesn't put out good power and sounds flat. I got one of these as a stop-gap when my Skar RP2K went out. I ended up buying a new CT Sounds AT series 1400w amp to replace it and the difference is night and day.

The app didn't work

Good little amp that pushes hard , has a built in fan that’s audible but it doesn’t bother me - never had it shut off to getting hot and I push it hard @ 1 ohm - sound quality seems to be decent

I bought this to replace my crecendo syphany v2 that had walked out of my truck I dark night. The amp was only 1400 watts running 2 12" jlw6v3. It's sounded incredible. I bought this sundown mostly on reputation and this amp had more power. 2200 watts on the dyno. Maybe it's my fault for thinking this is a sub amp. Because it's clearly not. Dont know why you would need a monoblock fior anything else but I'm sure there are lots of reasons I just don't know. It may put out more power but the difference in sound is so dramastic. My subs are maybe half as loud or bumping as they were. There is no other options to control. Amp then hpf , lpf, and gain. That's all you get to work with. I have a dsp but someone who doesn't this is potentially a big deal. This sundown sounds dirty. Like just power without any finesse unlike my previous crecendo which gave me the expensive sounding bass. Hopefully you all know what I'm talking about. This amp made my 859$ a piece subs sound like 2 mediocre subs instead people thinking I had 4 12s or 4 15s. It takes a real crappy watt to make these subs sound mediocre. If I wanted that sound I would if bought a Crunch or Boss amp. In short this amp is going back and I'm putting out the extra 75$ to get the same crecendo I had. I'm sure sundiwnd more expensive line and as good as the hype. But their bottom line products are just that bottom line with a fancier pricetag. And again my fault for buying full range amp for my subs.Also the guys in video claimed this amps bass knob had clipping light. When I contacted sundown they very quickly replied that those bass knobs had defects and no longer available even if you wanted to pay for it. Also I know the hot and lpf are suppose to act like bass boost and subsonic. But it doesn't. And no where in paperwork or on amp does it say it is suppose to.

Only one channel worked

It's a great amp for MAYBE 2 6.5 subs or 2 8 inch subs or 1 10 inch subs nothing else.DJ BYRDMAN
