Q: How often do you guys replace this filter?

I change the RO every 2 years. The water is hard where I live so if I can get 2 years that is great. This last one has really degraded after 1 year 8 months. I have a digital meter that measures total dissolved solids and the membrane started out really super efficient with reducing down to about 70 ppm approximately 90% efficient which I thought was great. Now unfortunately it is running about 45% (515 ppm compared to tap at 950 ppm) so a bit short of the 2 years I had hoped before having to replace it again. Water still tastes a lot better than out of the tap even at lower efficiency.... Hope that helps answer. P.S. if you don't want to spend money on a TDS meter (range from $15 on up I settled on an HM Digital COM-100 $60 on Amazon) take a sample from your tap and also out of the RO system and get the local pool store guys to test with their meter which they use for salt water pools
