Impressive Security Alert Device
I bought one of this for my wife. The device emits a loud noise and flashing light that could get the attention of other people nearby. The quality is excellent and I for me it’s worth the price. Planning to buy again for my girlfriends.

Very loud !
It is very loud and obnoxious just like you'd expect and want in this type of product. It will deter people or animals easily from bothering you. It's a great price and we would recommend it !

Works well but...
It's loud and the flashes are eye catching. Definitely works well and would make you feel so much safer just having one with you. My only complaint is the color. I had ordered the green one to gift a friend because she loves dark foresty-green, but when it arrived it was more of a light mint green. Still usable and ok, but was quite disappointed it didn't look anything like the color shown in the picture.

Buyer beware!
Buyer beware! When I tried this out it was NOT an "ear piercing 130 decibels" as advertised. It sounded like a loud cell phone. To check my impression, I used a decibel meter app and it measured only 83 decibels! I have contacted Byrna about the situation and will update this review when I get an answer. I HOPE it's a case of old batteries. Byrna told me to replace the batteries. I did so and the alarm measured 104 db, nowhere near the promised 130. It was clearly not "ear piercing". Their customer service said decibel meters can differ. But the proof was in the sound itself - not loud enough for an alarm! They did offer the return, which I did via Amazon.
