Fixed my 2008 Harley deluxe !

The kit came complete and on time. Don't expect instructions. Let someone experienced handle it for best results. Looked good. No base that fits on the pump bottom securing it to the mount. Last, I replaced this on a pump that was replaced by customer 6 months ago. It was the same pump. Hmm. Use the supplied clamps on all fittings. You need to use the nipple on the line that goes into the OE manifold. It's about a 4 out of ten install for ease of install

If you're going to do the work yourself, READ THIS.Be very careful on your disassembly and removal of your old fuel system. This group of parts in this replacement unit seem to be in excellent condition and complete. However there is one vital part that missing and if it were included I would give this 5*.The part is the connector that connects the fuel line (hose) coming out of the fuel pump and going into the fuel filter. You can see the hose is included in the pictures but the right angled nipple that connects this hose to the fuel filter and pressure regulator assembly is NOT included.On my 2008 Softail Crossbones (FLSTSB) it's a right angled plastic piece. The OEM version is plastic and if your bike has been sitting for long, and your fuel hoses inside the tank are no longer flexible, this will be an issue. You absolutely MUST reuse the OEM part because it's NOT INCLUDED in this package and I don't think you can buy it separately. SO DO NOT BREAK IT. BE VERY gentle when working with all these things.Now I'm left with a really difficult issue - I've got to somehow get this old hose off of this right angled nipple (That's plastic also but seems in better shape than the hoses) without breaking it and without cracking it....because the fuel system is pressurized. If I make a mistake, I may have to fork over $200+ to HD for a new fuel filter and pressure regulator unit and HOPE it includes the right angled nipple.I also bought the check valve assembly from QFS here on Amazon and in that kit, they include a replacement plastic nipple for the other side of the fuel filter and a new washer. BUT this part won't work for the other side and I'm not sure where to buy the right angled nipple - I'm not sure you even can buy it.This kit seems awesome and complete so I'm a bit surprised that they didn't include such a part.
