12V 15A Heavy Duty Male to Male Cigarette Plug Cigarette Lighter Adapter Charger Cord With LED Lights And Fuse Protection On Both Plugs, by Besteek. I bought this accessory cord for a car tire inflation pump. The plug on the original cord was plastic, with a flimsy, easily broken, screw-on plastic cap. This plug appears to be made of thicker plastic and has a metal cap. The cord is 15 feet long. It is packaged as a 12V 15A Heavy Duty Charger Cord. The cord markings list it as 16AWG (1.31mm2) 300V. It has flat, round, closed end connections for use as a DC power cord. Each wire on the cord is 3mm thick overall. I intend to cut the original cord inside the inflator case, tin the exposed ends, solder them to the new flat connectors, and use heat shrink insulation instead of plastic electrical tape on the connections. I have a couple of old 12V DC inflation pumps, and I will finally get around to repairing the plugs instead of throwing out the tire pumps. I tried out the cord using my Clore ES5000 jumper battery, a 12V DC to 110V AC inverter, and an electric table fan. It worked fine, and the cord appears to have been well made in China. It's a good little cord. I blew the fuse in the first minute (my fault and had to laugh) and so ordered a pack of BOJACK 6x30mm 15A 250V, pack of 18, here on Amazon for $6. I was back in business a couple days later and tested this on an air compressor first. It worked great and though the cord got a little warm, it wasn't too bad. Just for kicks, I hooked it to my Harbor Freight 2500 lb Badland winch. It allowed me to extend/retract the cable without a problem (though the plug part got very hot after one full retraction). I tried hooking a riding mower to it and pulling it along (in neutral) on flat ground and it could barely do that. It certainly couldn't be used to power a winch for anything useful, but that was expected as a 15 watt fuse on a 12vdc electrical system is only going to give 180 watts of power. That won't cut it for even the most lightweight winch. Stick with a car battery. Finally, I found the fuse removal a little inconvenient. The little pole on top likes to spring out and get lost easy. It's not a fat-fingered guy kind of operation, so be careful and stand somewhere that will allow you to find the missing piece after it pops out on you. Overall.. good cord and should work for anything that I need it for. Keep extra fuses on hand.

It worked 9 out of 10 times, usually however the internal components like the spring melted or something of that nature causing it not to function. Found out on a cold night. May be it couldn't handle strict tolerances or more quality internal materials? Not sure if it would count for any sort if warranty claim.
