I have used this product extensively. I have had it attached to saws, 6” sanders and even used it on a 16” floor sander. It has great suction, it rolls effortlessly, the cord is soft and flexible. I have compared it to other units of comparable size. It beats the Makita in weight and suction and looses to the Festool only in weight. In my opinion it does a better job on suction as the filters will vibrate to clean themselves without loosing airflow. The Festool has a nicer set up for hose and accessories storage but the plastic build quality is weaker on the Festool

I have 5 of these Vacuums in use in our shop. All of them have trouble with dust getting in the power switch. This requires disassembling the unit to spray contact cleaner in the switch. I have also recently found that when the carbon motor brushes wear out there are none available. Metabo wants you to replace the entire motor and vacuum for $500. That means that this nearly $700 vacuum is not worth fixing after 4 years of use. Motor brushes usually cost about $12 each.

I've used many different shop vacs as a DIYer and home owner. This one has by far taken the prize as my favorite. It truly is a well designed and built machine. The auto on/off feature with adjustable amperage to the tool is nice though I currently do not use it. I value the suction power remaining consistent while I work for hours, and this beast is a champ. The suction power remains strong even after 8 hours of use grinding concrete and shaking loose fine, silica-laden dust. With my other shop vac, which is a fine tool, would clog up with this dust in about 40 minutes and I'd have to spend a good 15 minutes cleaning it. Not this Metabo. It trucks along for 8 hours without an issue because it shakes loose the dust when the air flow is restricted enough. When this happens, it does reduce the suction power a small amount but never enough to slow me down. Depending on how much it sucks up, it also can go 30 minutes without hammering the filters. This is not like its competition which trigger every 10-30 seconds, some of which reverse the airflow to a degree thus reducing the suction power more than the Metabo. I've noticed also I don't have to shake the hose every now and then to jostle loose the dust in the hose. It seems to do this for me when it shakes the filters. Truly a fantastic product. I do not regret buying this and I've heard good things from those who've used it for years. I'm looking forward to using this for years to come for any projects I pickup.

Quality tool - ability to choose the suction level helps. Autoclean is a cool feature. I connected it to both Festool Kapex and table saw

So I have bought a lot of these vacuums for my business and this one I bought is junk! The auto filters barely work and the suction is half mass of all my other ones. Yet let me remind you they say they are the same vacuum on the outside but run way worse than all mine!
