It's lumpy, but I like lumpy, malleable pillows!
There are a few things I don't like about this pillow, but not enough to take off a star. First, the outer (grey) pillowcase is stitched very thinly and could easily tear apart if you don't treat this pillow carefully. The pillowcase also has a distinct smell that I can't identify but is rather strong, and the fabric itself stretches rather easily and doesn't fit the pillow snugly. So, I took it off and put my own pillowcase over it.The pillow itself is very snuggly, lumpy, and full, but I like lumpy pillows because I tend to be rather aggressive with them. The combination of shredded latex rubber and shredded memory foam is a terrific idea, and it works well. I know memory foam will degrade in time, but rubber latex will not, as it's a natural product, so I don't worry about this pillow going flat. It's soft and cuddly but it has a certain spring to it that feels supportive enough to rest on my back and my side, especially. I get stiff, sore neck muscles during the day and need a soft but substantive pillow, and this works very well.I feel comfortable enough to not have to remove any of the filling (and I could, as there's a zipper for those purposes, which is helpful for those who find the loft too high). It feels pliant yet sustainable, and I'm very pleased with it.

They all say they don't go flat but they do (except latex like I have on my bed) I don't think it ...
These are big, heavy, full pillows. I bought them for my son's bed because we have gone through two sets of pillows in the last six months. Both sets went completely flat after a couple months of use by one 10 year old boy. They all say they don't go flat but they do (except latex like I have on my bed) I don't think it would be possible for these to go flat- they are very substantial. I like the shredded foam it seems like it won't get hard like a solid memory foam and would be more airy and fluffy. The cover is very soft and nice- mine were ivory color not the color shown in the picture.Update: I removed one star because they do flatten down where you sleep- you just re-fluff it and it goes back into shape but that would annoy me if I were sleeping on them. I guess it's just because that's what memory foam does.

The fill is NOT adjustable, despite what the description says
Inaccurate description. The inner pouch cannot be unzipped. It is sewn shut, so you cannot adjust the fill to your liking as the description states. There is a LOT of fill in this pillow and it is very firm. It's simply too large and stiff. Removing some of the fill would probably help, but that cannot be done without ripping the inner lining and ruining the pillow. Also, some of the fill ends up coming out even when sealed. Very disappointed.

HSP w/FMS - okay but no cigar
I wanted to test drive a version of this sort of pillow before I invest in anything more expensive. Background: I'm an HSP with FMS and DDD. My neck cannot handle any pressure and I've tried many, many types of pillows.First - this sucker is heavy! :) It does have a smell to it initially. I got it late in the day and put a pillow case on it too quickly, so the scent persisted for a few days...but it was not overly intolerable. Second - find yourself a decent pillow case. I haven't yet gotten a larger case tho' I've tried. If you want this to be malleable, you need some space in the case (rhyming free of charge). The case holds it too firmly in place so it's difficult to move the foam around and get it to where you want it.You will need to experiment - a lot. You aren't going to harm the pillow, so punch it and push it and just hit it all you want. In fact, it seems the more you abuse it the easier it gets to find a more comfortable state of being.Even now, it still hurts my neck and I wake with headaches most mornings. But when I manage to get it just right, I do seem to sleep better for at least a few hours. But it does not hold itself in place without settling. The settling is somewhat minor, but it does change with the weight of your (my) head. Adjustments will be needed.I sleep every which way given the pain. So I'm side to side, but mostly on my back with my head turned. It does not seem to stay quite in place enough to support my head without it tilting too far to one side or the other. Side sleeping is not too bad, but you do have to roll to the end of the pillow to get the best support. Again, beat it up as that's the only way to get it the way you want it.If you like a firm pillow, this is for you. I found that turning it on its side just a bit gave me a bit more softness - but overall, it's still not making my head and neck feel much better. Still, the price is excellent. The shipping time is a bit ridiculous, but the price seems to make up for the wait. Good, but not great. For me...YMMV.

Great pillow!
I sent for this pillow after years of struggling with pillows that flatten out or the filling separates or bunches up. It doesn't seem to matter if I spend a little or a lot of money, I still end up with a pillow that is unusable. I often wake up with a stiff neck or headache because of the horrible pillow support.I've only had this pillow for a few days, but so far I love it! Yes, it is heavy, but I don't carry it around. I sleep on it! I find that it conforms to my head and neck, but doesn't flatten out and remains supportive. I tend to be a side or stomach sleeper and this pillow is just right. I'm hoping that I continue to be as happy with it as I am right now. Ordering one for my husband!Update: 6 weeks later and I still love this pillow! 4/28/17
