I received the Carhartt gloves on November12h 2025 from Amazon and paid $34.31. I watched several product reviews on You Tube before buying them where they were almost always among the top 5 and were reasonably priced. Now for the not so good news: I ordered a size large which is the size gloves I always use, and the gloves fit perfectly once I got my hands inside them. However, it was very difficult getting my hands inside the gloves because the part of the glove that is supposed to fit snugly around your wrists is very tight and my hands would not pass through the wrist bands without a lot of pulling and twisting. And yes, I did loosen the wrist straps and buckles as far as they would go. Like I said, once on, they fit and felt great. Pulling them off was just as difficult. I eventually cut the adjustable straps and buckles off the gloves because they are absolutely useless and I knew I would never use them. Since we’ve had an early cold winter in northern New York I was able to test these glove right off the bat. I’ve used them several times and noted the following: My fingers stayed warm until one evening when I was outside shoveling snow for about an hour and the temperature was 20 degrees with a wind chill of around 10 degrees. Towards the end of the first hour my finger tips started to feel cold and probably would have gotten colder if I stayed out longer. Also when I was using them on a 30 degree sunny day, my hands got warm and started sweating although I didn’t notice until it was time to take the gloves off. With the inside of the gloves being damp, they were extremely hard to remove without pulling the inside of the glove out with my hand. I’m thinking that since these gloves are supposed to be waterproof, this seals in the moisture so they can’t breathe.

The only reason I gave a four is that once they are wet inside from sweating, it takes a VERY long time to dry, yes, even with them on glove dryers. The gloves fit well and do keep your hands warm if your moving, if your stationary for long periods of time, they won't keep your hands warm. And be aware if you take off during the day, i'm pretty confident they won't go back on due to be being wet/damp inside (from experience).

These gloves fit comfortably and allow great range of motion for my fingers. They’re especially good for cold outdoor tasks. I’ve used them for shoveling and snow blowing. They have good thickness and warmth, but the warmth is short lived below twenty degrees Fahrenheit. My fingers began to get cold within 30 minutes of being outside. I usually only have that issue if my gloves get wet or I directly handle snow or ice with them. But overall, I like the combination of features even if they’re not the warmest gloves I’ve owned.

These gloves will not keep you hands warm (fingertips specifically) on a cold windy day. If there is no wind you should be ok with using these.
