I fractured my toe and was told to get a "plate" for my shoe. I went to the doctor and they were going to fit me for one of these at a cost of $75. Since my insurance didn't cover it, the assistant told me that I could get one on Amazon for cheaper. He helped me pick this one out and it has worked very well for me.I have to wear it for another 4 weeks and it is really helping my foot, and getting it for less than half of what I would have paid at the doctors office helped too.

My podiatrist recommended I use yhus type of insert due to arthritis in my great toe. I questioned how it would play with the fact that I have to have arch support in all of my shoes due to PF. He told me it wouldn’t affect it. Wrong! Not only did it aggravate my PF, my feet/toes cramped badly the night I wore them, even though I had on wide width mesh sneakers. If you only have arthritis, this may work for you but be careful if you have PF or are prone to get foot cramps. Yes, the insert is rigid and helps w/arthritis, but I feel like there should be some contraindications mentioned.

I was disappointed when I received a single sole because I bought it as a present for someone so I would not recommend this for the price as there are similar ones that come as a pair for the same price. It does what it’s meant to do but the fact it’s just one sole is where it lost me.

My foot surgeon recommended this exact insert to me because I broke the bone under my 2nd & 3rd toe. He said this would be better than putting me in a boot for 6 weeks. He warned me that it would be uncomfortable but it’s not. I did add an old padded insert over it so that may have helped. I liked this so much that I ordered one for my other foot because of the arthritic pain in my other toes.

I ordered a half size smaller to make sure it would fit in my shoe and I was pleased with the way it fit and the way it works. it added enough stiffness to the shoe to prevent my broken toe from flexing so that I did not need to wear a boot

I ordered this stiff carbon insole and received it only a couple of days later. My podiatrist had recommended it, as the metatarsal/phalangeal joints in my right foot are free of cartilage, and full of pain. This insole keeps those joints from bending much. It is thin, and does not make my PowerStep Plus insoles too tight. It is making a big difference: the difference between going for a walk and avoiding one due to pain. Great product.
