MIRROR - Medium tint
Ok. The MediumTint. It’s barley noticeable on the avg day. However when it’s sunny you’ll see the mirror tint slightly. You can’t even tell at night walking by there’s any tint installedVery Dark. This is super mirror no matter day or night. This shows a lot more dirt on the window therefore, I have to wash my windows quite a bit more.Look. don’t be cheap and make sure you buy a Tint- kit that has a proper tools to do the job or you’re not gonna get good results. A basic squeegee is not gonna cut it. Basic credit card is not gonna cut it. Get the correct tools and it’ll make your job look professional.

Easy to install and looks great!
This review is for two products I purchased from BuyDecorativeFilm:One Way Mirror Window Film Silver-Silver 35% VLT 36"(w) X 6 Ft(l)andDecorative Window Film Blind Plus 36"(w)x3ft(l)These products are great, and the results are even better than I expected.I used the window film that looks like vertical blinds and installed that onto the windows first. After that, I put the one way silver window mirror film on top of the other film to add some extra privacy. It was an experiment, because I was not sure you could layer the film on top of another window film. It worked great, as long as I used more of the soap/water spray for the second layer, to make it easy to lift, and to correct any mistakes I made along the way.I purchased this window film for some small older windows on the side of my house that was built in 1920. The window glass is only 17 1/2 x 25 1/2" and the windows are higher on the wall, about 10 inches from my living room ceiling. One of the windows is above a tall cat tree/tower in the living room, and I wanted privacy, but I wanted to let the light in and allow my cats to sunbathe and look outside while they're on the top level of the cat tree. The second window is above an entertainment center, and without any window covering, it would be easy to see into my windows from the neighbor's house (our houses are only about 15 feet away from each other). Instead of waiting until my husband got home and having him help me move the TV and entertainment center, I used a two-step stool to reach the second window, while leaning over the entertainment center. I was surprised at how easy and fast the window film was to install, even from such an awkward angle.I've had my house for 17 years and until today I hadn't found the right solution for these tricky little windows. The windows are such a strange size; it was hard to find the right product to fit, add privacy, and look nice. In the past, I've tried using sheers and lace curtains on those small windows, but my cats would always get hair on them, and even sometimes get their claws stuck and cause snags. Mini-blinds could also pose a hazard as the cats could become tangled in the pull-string. I also tried the stick-on temp blinds, but those are opaque and the adhesive caused the product to get stuck on the window frame and lifted off paint when I removed them.Today, the perfect solution was the blind film, with the mirror film on top of that. To finish the project, I added a short valance that covers the upper portion of the windows.I am beyond pleased with BuyDecorativeFilm and their products.

Newbie experience - not too bad
I recently moved to a new house in Texas where heat is an issue. My bedroom windows face east so the morning can get pretty hot, and as the thermostat is not in the bedroom, even though my AC is set to a comfortable temp, my bedroom still heats up.I started looking for options to reduce the heat and came across several brands of film. I decided to go with BDF based on their training videos, as I had never done this before and was a bit intimidated by the installation process. I also compared the efficiency that different brands claim for heat reduction, and all seemed similar.Installation process:As a newbie, I felt that the first window that I treated took me a while to get right. I messed up while removing the backing but was able to salvage the film. As I progressed, I noticed how my skill was getting better and that I had. If you are new to this process, it's almost certain that you'll mess up the first (and maybe second) installation, but once you get the hang of it, you'll get comfortable and efficient.I have a couple of room thermometers, and I did see a difference in my bedroom of around 5 degrees, so, for me, this product worked great.Note: while I was doing research, I read complaints about how you might leave bubbles between the window and film. This does happen a little bit, but as time passes and heat evaporates the remaining liquid, the bubbles disappear. Also, the squeegee tool that comes with the film is excellent, as it has a hard edge for corners, and a cloth edge to have a smooth sliding experience without damaging the film. Now I can't even tell the film is there.I will buy more film to apply to the rest of my house.

Easy to Install, looks good, but not very effective.
This film has good feel and is packaged well, included accessories are also adequate. The installation was easy and it looks great. However as far heat rejection goes it doesn’t do much. I installed this on a sliding glass patio door that is exposed to direct sunlight in the evening. I have exterior and interior temperature readings and have only seen a delta of 2-3 degrees with and without. Works but honestly not really noticeable or worth the price.

Easy(ish) to install, will be putting more in the house!
Went in pretty easily/perfectly but I cleaned the SOUL out of my windows first. This level of tint is perfect for the kitchen; I didn’t want to completely block out the sun but just to reduce the amount of heat coming in. As soon as the first window was up I could feel a difference, application of 4 panes took me about two hours in total including prep time. Two things:1. you need to watch the video and follow the directions. They give you everything you need except a squirt bottle and carpenters tape so be warned, you do need these.2. you’ll need a clean table or a floor free from dust or pet hair to lay the tint sheet out while you pull off the backing and spray it with the water solution. I have two mainecoon cats so honestly this review is a true testament to how hard it is to mess this application up.
