I purchased this for woodwork in an old house which sat empty for years. Wood trim was all dried out and lacked any depth. The LinSheen linseed oil really brought it back to life. It took more than one coat but the wood was very dry and now it looks great. It will never look new, but who wants that? The woodwork looks classic and has a depth of grain and color which was not there before. VERY GOOD VALUE, TOO!

Easy to apply and works extremely well. Penetrates into wood with the first application. I have done a few axe handles, froe handle and a wooden mallet. It does darken it to a golden finish but it’ll do the job! I’ve applied several coats to each item.

Worked great to condition my axe handle. But be careful! Don't apply too much. Start with a light coat and allow to dry for a number of days. Afterwards, apply a second very light coat. If applied to thick and not enough time to dry it will be sticky.Other than that, works great at giving the wood a nice smooth feel. Not slippery or sticky, but a nice conditioned feel. Also, it brings out some nice natural colors.Would highly recommend for conditioning tool handles.
