Hero's Edge G-BL002 Long Foam Excalibur Sword,39",Gray

For background, i train in HEMA and will often use LARP swords for safety, price, and ease of use. I am also a cosplayer.This is a pretty decent for those purposes, given the price. The blade itself is quite sturdy and takes a decent amount of abuse. That said, its too stiff in the thrust and the padding isnt quite thick or soft enough to be used recklessly. Light sparring is fine, but i would either limit thrusts or just excercise caution.The stiffness is, however, very nice for a lot of bladework if you wanted to try some sidesword or rapier.Handles well although it is a little light in comparison to some other larp swords i own.Looks excellent as a cosplay prop as well.Overall, you can find safer foam swords out there, but this is still really good value

Very nice quality, feel and look. I will update my review after a few motion capture shot using it. But so far the quality is nice, not heavy as the real sword, but still give you a feeling of weight and constrain to help you fake the reaction to the weight.More than what you need for a good halloween costume, feel very realistic from afar.

The sword is a metre long and is well balanced. It has such a nice weight to it. Just the right amount of padding. My brother and I both got one and its perfect for sparring. We can hit each other really hard without getting hurt. It’s a lot better than a stick found in a park. My only criticism is that the hilt is just a little bit too short. Other than that, its perfect.

the only 2 problems i found are the silver paint rubbing off on to what is struck, so my ceiling now has silver streaks on it. also i feel the tip could be about an inch shorter. other than that its great.
