This is exactly as described. Good quality. A really nice personal gift. The light itself is touch technology with 3 levels of brightness so you can adjust it however you wish. I would suggest that it's more of a decor piece or conversational piece than anything else. It's fun and it's different. For the money it's very attractive and a good buy.

UPDATE March 10, 2017 I just received the new product and it appears to work just fine. I still don't think the placement of the USB port is a good idea because there really seems to be a lack of support for it. While it's sturdy enough that it shouldn't fall apart from normal use (at least it feels that way right now) I feel like it would break down sooner than if it had something holding it in place other than solder. They may have added more support but I haven't opened the case on the new one to check. Whether they have or not it still feels like it could be set up better. Nonetheless, I've raised my rating to 5 stars because Mamre really cares about getting a good product out to its customers and they seem to have fixed the previous issue. UPDATE March 08, 2017 After writing my original review I received an email from the company stating a new batch of the product was being made that fixes the issue I listed below. They offered to send me a new one but since I already fixed mine I didn't think it was necessary so I didn't pursue that option. I received an email today from Amazon saying a new order for this product has shipped so it appears the company sent me one anyway. Their customer support seems to be great and they are really trying fix the problems with the first batch. I'm adding another star to this review simply because of their support. Once I receive the new one and test it out I'll add another update, hopefully with more stars. ORIGINAL The design of this product is really nice and my wife loves it. However, I am giving it two stars because of its cheap quality. Upon opening it I could already feel the components moving around inside. I plugged it in, taking note of the poorly mounted USB port, and everything seemed to work fine until I needed to move it. The next time I plugged it in the USB port fell inside the unit. Luckily my wife hadn't seen it yet so I looked around at how I could open it up and found two screws on the back. After removing them, it took a little force to open the unit and when it finally came loose a chunk of metal came flying out. This metal is apparently intended to be a weight although I'm not sure why it was put in there. The product is sturdy enough without it and if their goal was to make it simply feel heavier so it gives the illusion of greater value they should have at least made sure it fit snugly in its slot. This piece of metal is what I initially felt moving around inside that made the product feel cheaper. I looked around inside and discovered the USB port had completely fallen off the PCB (see img 1). Since I dabble with electronics I was able to successfully repair the board by soldering wires to the battery lead mounts (see img 2) and running them out the back of the unit to a DC barrel jack. I also had to re-solder the additional ground wire (used for making the LEDs brighter) back to the figurine of the people sitting in front of the moon as that broke when I opened the unit. I'm happy that it was a (somewhat) simple fix but the product should have been made right the first time.

This light is adorable. The levels of the brightness is great. I didn’t know the “sky” moves ! Makes it even better. Especially for the price. It’s been a month or so and not a single issue. Love this light.

Got it for my parents as a valentines/anniversary gift. It’s super cute and has three brightness options..the only thing I wish is that the moon picture looked a bit more realistic and not blurry but besides that no complaints

As I first reviewed this item I gave it one star because it stopped working after 2 months, and because of that review (I did not contact the seller) The seller sent me an email right after I posted the review and said there was a problem that has since been fixed with a few of these lamps ( not surprised I got a defective one=() and they were replacing my lamp and I don't have to send back the broken one ( if you read the negative review, the box was stuck somewhere in a remodel from hell!) Any way I received the new and working lamp in 2 days which I was very surprised at..... Long story a bit longer.......Lovely ambiance lamp....but even better EXCELLENT customer service! This 1 star isn't because I hate the product, it is a really serene pretty glowing night light. My issue is I received this in January 2017 and used it for a couple of hours each night in my bed room. In March I unplugged the cord to move the light and now the cord won't stay in and the lamp no longer works, plus something is now rattling inside the light. Not sure if I can return it but I may try, however finding the box could be another issue since we started a remodel project in our Master Bedroom and everything is in boxes...anybody else have issues ? I read good reviews about the light before I bought it.

Bought the Aurora version of this lamp for my husband as an anniversary surprise, and it was spot on. Didn’t bother with the stickers, looks great just as is. The touch control cycles through colors smoothly, highlighting those really cute little figures silhouetted against the flowing aurora lights. The base feels quality, and the glow creates a romantic vibe perfect for our evenings. He loves it on the shelf, adds a cozy touch without effort. Thoughtful design that impresses every time we turn it on.

I really liked the design of this Super Moon lamp that has an embracing couple gazing at the moon.The full face of the moon is set off centre in its matt black frame which I think adds to its attractive design.I love the way the couple acts as the touch switch that operates the lamp,a short touch switches it on and off and a long touch controls the brightness to my desired level. The lamp will retain this setting when it's switched on again. It came with an adaptor plug and a five foot long lead which was adequate for my needs..Also supplied was a selection of self adhesive silver numbers and messages in a stylish font for wedding anniversaries or valentines day to add a romantic message if desired and a ruler was provided to help position them accurately. I think this lamp would make a welcome, romantic gift for a loved one or perhaps someone one interested In astronomy and I am happy to recommend it.

I just love this beautiful full moon ambient light. It's like having the moon right in your living area and the couple that are sitting at the base looking at it is the perfect touch. When it first comes on, it is dim, but if you simply touch the couple with your fingertip for 2 or 3 seconds, the light gets brighter and brighter. I bought the yellow/orange one as it's most like a real moon and I'm glad that I did. The light colored wood surrounding it is perfect as it doesn't take away from the moon & couple when it is lit which should be the focus. Yes, the moon itself is made of plastic, but it doesn't look cheap whether the lamp is turned on or off. I didn't use the word-art that comes with it, but it's a nice option to have for anyone who would like to use it. 5-star all the way and I highly recommend.
