Pygmy Falcon-Ii (Black)

This pack sat on my desk for a bit while I considered sending it back. My requirements for this pack were ease of organization, medium size, and ability to blend into an urban environment without looking like a nut job spec ops wannabe, while still being useful as daypack in the Mojave . To my eye, it just looked too militaristic with the MOLLE attachments all over it, even in black. Then a funny thing happened. I started to test it out by packing up my day to day stuff to see how it would work out....and I liked it. I liked it a lot. First, the main clamshell pocket is cavernous even though the pack wears small. There are lots of elastic loops and devices to store smaller items. Best of all, the front pocket is a deep narrow one, allowing my phone, wallet, and notebook to slide in and out easily. I have been using the Maxpedition Fatty organizer for a while, and I now add that to the (inner) pack. For outdoor use, I'll use the MOLLE to hang it on the outside. I also typically carry an iPad mini and a kindle e-reader, which are well protected in the main compartment. The two water bottle holders are both perfect for Nalgenee 32s or other small items, and the tightening cord on each bottle pouch is a great feature. The pack itself is heavier than packs of similar size by other manufacturers. I didn't weigh the pack against others I own. I didn't need to. It's that stout. With that said, even after loading it up with my day to day stuff, it wears very comfortably. I found the straps to be shaped well and padded sufficiently. It comes with a sternum strap which is removable. You want quality? Ruggedness? You've heard the legends about Maxpedition gear. let me add another voice to the chorus. It's all true. This pack is indestructible. The nylon is thick, the zippers are fat, the pack is a beast. Something I would like to have seen is a CCW friendly port on the pack for quick access to a sidearm. I bought mine for 82USD which I was pleased with, even though it dropped to 75USD the very next day. Overall, I'm pleased and very glad I chose not to send it back.

My absolute favorite pack from Maxpedition. I've had all their sling packs - a couple of their backpacks but somehow always come back to this one as my goto for just about everything. Space is just right for work commuting/school/motorcycling/dayhikes - fits laptops/books/notebooks/tablets/lunch and lots more. It is maxpedition tough - being former military myself I enjoy the molle points and the practical utility this pack brings. It has a place for a hydration system as well as pockets on BOTH sides that easily fits a hydroflask 32ouncer as well as a smoothie shaker bottle thingy. It's small enough to feel like a part of your body and fits well enough to really make it a fast pack. No waist rigging but as it's a smaller pack so you shouldn't be weighing it down with too much gear although you probably could put 15-20 lbs comfortably in this pack. I wish Maxpedition were USA made and really make an effort to reconcile the premium price we pay with an effort to make these USA made. Eh, what do I know though...

Fantastic bag! Great quality just like all of Maxpedition's gear! I dropped a camera insert in it and used as a camera bag during marching band season it it was perfect!

Pros - Well made. Very sturdy. - Small and light. Easy to move around. - Very comfortable on back. - Easy to adjust shoulder straps. - Wide enough to fit my 15" Lenovo ThinkPad laptop. - Bottom protection. - Unique design. Cons - Lack(not enough) of pockets and organization pockets in admin pocket: you kind of just shove in all stuffs - Too small to carry a jacket or extra clothing in case you need with a laptop or some stuff. - Unique design: my wife hates its bag-head shape. It's roomy than I expected but depending on your need, it will still be too small.

Si conoces los productos maxpedition sabes lo que vas a recibir en cuanto a calidad de materiales y resistencia. A diferencia de bolsas como las versipack que son las reinas de la organización y practicidad con las zonas con mucho velcro, esta te queda a deber en ese concepto. Esta desde mi experiencia con varias mochilas de la marca es mas una mochila tradicional con apertura de concha lo cual facilita meter cosas y organizarla de manera perfecta. En ningún review u opinión encontré alguien que me confirmara que cabe una laptop y efectivamente cabe una laptop de 15" gamer, pero en cuanto a penas, si pones 1 termo de un lado y alguna otra cosa en la bolsa con malla del otro lado, no estoy tan seguro que quepa. A diferencia de otras mochilas de la marca esta a penas cubrirá tus necesidades de organización. En resumen es una increíble mochila para actividades en donde no vas a cargar gran cantidad de cosas. La volveria a comprar si, sustituye a otras mochilas de otras marcas para hiking o EDC, si. La usaría para viajes cortos? si pero en el entendido de que no hay espacio para cargas imprevistas.

Excellent quality light duty bag. Using it for work every day. Has enough capacity for what I need and enough storage. Very tough construction, feels bullet proof. Maxpedition make awesome gear. Recommended.

Das selbe Modell hatte ich bereits in oliv, und da mich Verarbeitung und Qualität überzeugen, und da der "Alte" mal eine Waschung brauchte (hat sie problemlos bei 30* in der Waschmaschine überstanden), hab ich mir noch einen in Farbe Schwarz bestellt. Dieser Rucksack ist auf lange Haltbarkeit gemacht. Die Reisverschlüsse haben (zumindest bei meinem oliven) lebenslange Garantie. Dieser kam direkt aus USA, den Zoll machte Amazon zu einem vernünftigen Preis, womit der Rucksack immer noch preislich im D-Rahmen lag. Der Rucksack hat starkes Nylongewebe verarbeitet, auf ein "Futter" mit "Bröselkunstoff" wird verzichtet, was eine lange Freude am Produkt garantiert.

It is so good that I own 4 (updated from 2) of this Maxpedition Pygmy Falcon-II Backpack, proven and tested backpack. One for work and one for hiking and 2 given to friends as gift (they instantly love it). These are the unbeatable reasons. - Slim, compact and lightweight - Very durable material - Material is really waterproof - Molle at the right position on the pack - Very smooth and durable YKK zipper; don't even need to break in, it is already very smooth when new - Very useful friendly and practical front pocket; spacious compared to other brand and able to hold thick items without putting in the main compartment, also easy and fast access (example - first aid kit) - Diagonal flat front pocket on the front larger pocket is large and convenient to put smart phone - Main compartment is able to hold more items and spacious than expected while remain very slim and compact when not in use with Y compassion strap. - Very reasonable price for such a top quality backpack compared to other top brand - Very functional and versatile side water pockets and very secure with drawstring; can hold wet umbrella, long items. - light colour inside pack for easy visibility - Very compact and slim shoulder strap but also very comfortable even with heavy load. Only improvement I wish to suggest : should have 2 zippers for the front large pocket

Gostei muito desse modelo, estou utilizando diariamente e o produto me atende muito bem nas minhas necessidades. Um dos pontos positivos é que não chama tanto a atenção quanto o modelo Falcon II, que tem uma aparência muito mais tática. Outro ponto positivo é a qualidade dos materiais empregados, é o tipo de produto que você vê e percebe a robustez, a alça de transporte, por exemplo, é muito confortável e confiável, uso muito ela porque aqui no Rio de Janeiro é muito quente e nem sempre dá pra andar com ela nas costas. Por falar nisso, considero que o costado apesar de ser macio e confortável, esquenta muito as costas, não é bom pra usar no verão. Os bolsos telados são ótimos, os melhores bolsos de transporte de garrafa que já experimentei. A mochila é pequena mas cabe tudo que eu preciso pro meu cotidiano, acho que fora a questão de esquentar muito as costas todo o restante me agrada, ótimo item, está em outro patamar!
