Awesome product, but I think unnecessary
Well, I love it, but, I just don't like how the film does not actually cover the whole phone, even in the picture they show on the listing, you can clearly see the left side does not quite cover the whole "lighted" screen, it leaves a good space between the protector and the edge unprotected causing the film to lift after a small amount of time used. Also, didn't like how when swiping you can feel this surface discrepancy, especially when using the swipe between apps and when going back on your browser pages, or on menus withing the iOs. I stopped using it, returned it, actually lost money on the deal, but I am happy going free-bird on the screen, I just am super paranoid and careful with it so I don't drop it. Maybe purchase a wallet case or armor instead. I like the slim feel!

Needs better directions
I am a huge fan of ZAGG screen protectors. I have used them on my phones ever since I dropped mine and destroyed the screen. I have cracked/broken 3 screens since I got my first one. The process for replacement is easy. The issue I have with this one is the directions are not clear on how to apply and there is no application guide like some I am used to, so the glass is in the proper location. For those reviews that complain the warranty does not cover the actual phone screen, of course it doesn't. The screen protector is meant to break before the actual screen. It will not always break before the screen, as I found out, but it is the exception to the rule. I will gladly pay the price for ZAGG glass screen protectors over anything else. They have proven to me they work.

Thick plastic screen
First off it arrived in the sealed package already with a small scratch on it. Though it was easy to install, it made it extremely difficult to actually use my phone because it was so thick. I finally got tired of it enough to just take it off. We decided to give it some rigorous testing. It acts like thick plastic and scratches very easily. It’s just not the same quality we expect from Zagg after using their tempered glass screen protectors. I will go back to the tempered glass as before but I feel like we wasted every cent spent on this and I’m disappointed. We decided to purchase this one because it promised extra protection and the phone takes a beating at work. Just didn’t turn out like it said.

Not actual glass!
I fell for the cheap price again! Ugh! I feel like this happens every so often. I try the cheaper option and always regret it! I had to order three screen protectors so I wanted to try to find the best option for the lowest price. I was set on the Zagg brand because I know they’re pretty reliable. Well this is that cheap flimsy crap. I had to use it and put it on my phone anyways because my dumb butt took off my other one first! (Lesson learned) So whatever. I put it on and figure I’ll just return the other two unopened ones. So during installation, I align it perfectly and set it to my phone. I use the tool to push out any bubbles and go to lift the yellow “protective layer”, and the ENTIRE thing came right off my phone!! So I was like WTF!? I then tried to replace it and of course didn’t get it straight, then realize that there is now a cat hair under it in the middle of my screen. So overall, I’m kinda pissed. Plus the little cleaning wipe wasn’t moist at all. AND the “sapphire defense” part of this protector makes it have a yellow tint. So, I wouldn’t recommend this screen protector but especially wouldn’t recommend for a white phone. Will return the two unopened ones and spend double I guess. Ugh!

MUST READ. SCRATCHES EASY!!!
This Sapphire Defense screen protector is more shatter proof than any other screen developed by Zagg; however, it certainly is not scratch proof or scratch resistant. I have had this screen protector for only 5 days, and it has more scratches on it than any other screen protector I have EVER used.I am a meticulous person. I strive to keep my things maintained, organized, and clean. So the same stands with my phone. I want my iPhone 7 plus to be protected only by the best products. Period.I do not place any other items with my phone -be it in my pocket, on a table, or the like. While in my pocket, the phone stays secure in a soft cloth bag which was provided to me by Zaggs up purchase. There is no understandable reason why the sapphire defense screen is receiving so many scratches in only a 5 days, other than the screen protector itself is a flawed product. A new scratch appears every day, and literally every time I clean the screen with a micro fiber cloth. And unlike it's predecessor, the HD glass screen protector which uses a proprietary technology to keep itself smudge free, I am required to clean the screen constantly with a micro fiber cloth because this screen is more proned to smudging than any other screen I've EVER used. You're left with the option of keeping the screen smudgy (not in line with my personality) or to clean it and scratch it more in the process (also not in line with my personality). It's unreal. It's absolutely incredible. I honest to God cannot believe it! Truly. This is truly unbelievable. It's a $50 screen protector created by Zagg (world's #1 screen protector) that scratches so easily, even when trying to take care of it, over a 5 day period. This is not the Zagg quality I know. So, I went to a Zagg kiosk yesterday and talked with the rep. The rep confirmed there is a significant issue with this series, the Sapphire Defense. The issue is as described above: it scratches easily. He said "though the bottom layer is glass & infused sapphire crystals, the top layer is comprised of Zagg's older material that has proven to scratch extremely, EXTREMELY, easy". He said that he "had" also used the sapphire defense for his screen protector, but "down graded" to the HD Glass. He down graded because the Sapphire Defense had scratched so much he could no longer see his screen clearly. He provided his sincerest apology on behalf of Zagg and assured me Zagg is fully aware of the issue. They are working day and night to fix it.He advised I also down grade from the sapphire defense to their HD Glass for the time being. He placed my name on a call list so that a Zagg rep will call me when the new and improved Sapphire Defense screen protector arrives.(UPDATE: 03/18/2017 - I was never called. I am still using the"down graded" HD Glass screen protector. The ratings for this product -Sapphire Defense- are terrible!!! DO NOT BUY.)If you do buy the Sapphire Defense. Try it. Let me know your experience. Have they upgraded it?

JUNK!!!!
Junk! Pure and simple. It came with two protectors and good thing too. The first one was already cracked before I was even done putting it on. So I pulled that one off and put the second one on. I took extra care when handling my phone just to make sure that the second one wouldn’t crack. Despite my best efforts, it’s all cracked up now as well. I will be looking for a different brand.
