This is easy to use it fits nicely in your hand and has great control when brushing your skin. The burr months are harsh weather on the skin. This helps keep dry skin off your body. I have been reading about dry brushing and wondering what the difference was between dry brushing and exfoliating (in the shower). I found that exfoliating wet skin is more abrasive and when I thought about it, I actually realized that I've been doing it for years and still have dry skin and get ingrown hairs. I got this dry brush and used it on my upper arms before getting in the shower. My upper arms are always dry and peely, even when I put lotion on after a shower. After ONE use of this brush, no more peely dry skin on my arms.The strap to place your hand in is useful for most, but I prefer to hold the brush in my palm. It does feel a bit weird and rough on the skin at first, but you get used to it. I think I am so used to using a wet exfoliating cloth that the feeling of dry bristles on my skin felt kind of rough, but if you use it gently, I think it's really just a mental thing. I read online and from other reviewers to brush towards your heart wherever you are using it on your body. It's supposed to help with lymphatic drainage too. I like that this is gentle enough to use everyday and still effective if you use just a couple times a week. Use it with an in-shower oil and you'll be so soft and smooth! if you're thinking too hard about it, just get the brush. It's worth the time!

It was suggested by my doctor that I should dry brush my skin because of my "flaky" skin situation. I ordered this, and I am very happy with the quality of it. It has a firmness to it without being harsh to my skin. It is not a super soft brush, but not too firm either. Highly recommend! Good value for the money. Easy to hold with strap on back of brush.
