They are super easy to use. I didn't find them too sensitive. I was really skeptical when I first saw what they looked like. When I accidentally triggered one on my finger it put my mind to ease knowing that they could kill effectively. I put out three traps. One of them was snapped and the peanut butter was totally gone, but no mouse. The other two just about cut them in half. Which brings me to my few problems with these. They are expensive so far I have a 60% success rate. The ones that do work really smoosh the mouse. So much so that they are not easy to get out of the trap. You can supposedly just open them up and dispose of the mouse. The grossness of having those spikes penetrating the mouse kind of killed my enthusiasm. You have to open the trap and then kind of pry the mouse off the spikes. Too much for my stomach, I could feel the bile rising as I tried to open one and it was "stuck" into the mouse. So the two good traps ended up in the trash with the mice. I have 4 left but hopefully now that it's summer I won't have to use them. I gave them 4 stars because it seems to be a crap shoot as to which ones work....and the gross factor

These are more effective than many mouse traps. The spring is surprisingly strong, which is a disadvantage when setting it because it is scary to think it might snap on your fingers!We have had poor results with wooden mouse traps. The mice seem to avoid them, and occasionally release them without getting caught. With these Made2catch traps, we caught a mouse the first night we set one, and a second mouse on the second night.I have also used live traps with good results as far as catching mice, but it is a pain having to release the mice far enough away that they can't find their way back, especially when the weather is icy cold or snowy. Last week we released one only to have a feral cat appear at that moment and pounce on the poor thing! Well, at least it didn't freeze to death!As far as I can tell, these Made2catch traps kill immediately so the mouse does not suffer.

They are cute! And they are very sensitive. Saw a mouse every day or 5 days, same time, same place. Used other traps, and never caught the little guy. Put out 2, behind / next to large pieces of furniture, had a dickens of a time to get them in place. The kids were amused. Never did catch anything but never saw the mouse again either. Maybe the bright colors chased him away. Or all the laughing while trying to set them in place.UPDATE: months later, critter is in love with my utensil drawer. Set the trap, which took almost an hour due to them being very very senstive, with just a dab of peanut butter at the very "back" of trap. Caught the little bugger in about 4 hrs. Heard it snap, heard it moving for about 15 seconds, Was very easy to dispose of. It is a little hard to clean it after cuz it wants to snap closed. I CANNOT emphasize how sensitive these are. that makes them a bit frustrating.

Awesome traps, I've been using a Victor Electric Rat Trap to kill mice in my garage and it works good, so I had these traps that I bought but hadn't used because the Victor Electric Rat trap was doing pretty good on it's own, decided to try one out and the next day I caught a mouse in it, easy to bait and easy to set and easy to release the Mouse after it's killed, those who said it cannot be set because it's too sensitive need to watch the video on how to set it, you just need to keep your thumb or finger pressed on the back side of the trap at all times as you put it on the floor, once on the floor just let go and it's good to go, otherwise it will spring on you just from the vibration of setting it on the floor. Yes, it's very sensitive but that's what's so good about it. Put it right next to a wall and you will catch mice, I had some cheap Pic mouse traps and they were junk, they didn't even kill the mice and the bait was gone, but they were only $1.00 at Dollar Tree, but these are money if you know that you must keep it pressed even on the floor and then let it go. Use peanut butter right in the middle of the bait cup and you can't lose. These are the best single kill mouse traps on the market in my opinion, they are not made for catching rats just so you know, not powerful enough for that. I had it right next to my Victor Electric Rat trap and he chose to go for this trap instead, it's nice that you don't have to touch the mouse at all either, just dump it outside and reset the trap again, simple as that. Thumbs up on this trap and they are easy to clean also. Hope this review helps someone.

The trick is to put it on the floor first, then TRY to set it. Good luck ... these things are way too sensitive. Three out of the six, I couldn't set at all. Worthless.Easy to release: Yes, fairly easy. But you need to make sure you clean it thoroughly before using it again - IF you gather up the courage to even try.So ... three I actually was able to set after several attempts. Three I couldn't set at all after dozens of attempts. They made colorful additions to my garbage can.UPDATE one day later: Now there is only ONE I can set and that's only because it hasn't caught anything yet. What a waste of money.
