Don’t Understand the Hate for this Awesome Figure
Legacy Bulkhead is an awesome figure, period. The joints on my figure were tight and the figure has some weight to it. There is also a bonus for those who hate parts-formers as the canopy doesn’t have to be removed for transformation. I really hope that this figure is reused in repaints as this figure really is that good, and I would probably own all of such repaints. I just hope that they use different head sculpts for such new character figures. Concerning Bulkhead’s cab/chest, yes, it is largely hollow in robot mode, but it houses his head and both arms and shoulders in vehicle mode. I do have some concern about the long-term durability of the cab/chest due to it being molded out of transparent blue plastic and painted green and black. But what a mold it is! Moreover, the use of transparent plastics are widely used in many of the modern figures. This Bulkhead looks like a character that would have been welcomed into G1 era canon. He just looks like a brawler with a body silhouette reminiscent of the Hulkbuster Iron Man armor from Avengers Age of Ultron. Other concerns are the numerous tabs between the back of the cab and the rear of the truck fit together (regarding ease of transformation) after a many years of wear. Then there is that mace: what an awesome and brilliant weapon gimmick! It actually fits on either hand by turning it the appropriate direction. It’s nice to see a new melee weapon that is not blade based. The minigun does seem small comparatively to the figure; maybe it’s an attempt to emphasize the grandiose size of the character. The transformation is really clever and well engineered. The gas tanks disappearing into the robot’s calves blew me away; it really shows that this figure was designed with aid of computer modeling. It is just so precise. For those who hate the incomplete feel and hollowness of cavities in the arms and legs of modern transformers, this figure only has two small cavities: one in both arms at the lower inside bicep, and one on the inside of each leg above the knee. I really don’t understand the hate that this figure has received. “It looks nothing like Prime Bulkhead.” Or “I’m tired of the obsession with the G1 era.” Look, I get it people have their favorite iteration that they were first exposed to and naturally think is the best. But you have to understand it’s a business and a business decision; the G1 era fans are in an age bracket that have extra disposable income. I prefer G1 simply due to the basis on real vehicles or near approximations, at least until the Rodimus Prime future G1 era. It was fun to think of random vehicles as possible transformers, and much easier to do than with later more animated incarnations. This figure really needs to be appreciated on the basis of what it actually is. Once it’s in hand, if one is a true transformers fan, or a fan of the mechanics of transformation, this figure’s merit cannot be denied.

Almost Nailed It!!!
It's Bulkhead!!! I loved him in the Prime Series. This is a great mode for him in a G1 type aspect. The character truly represents all of what Bulkhead is meant to be - big and strong! Pros: Great robot mode and very poseable. The wrecking type ball weapon opens up in the middle to put on his hand, then closes; this was genius as you don't see his hand at all! Love the vehicle mode, matches very well. Great coloring. Cons: The vehicle mode seems small. The Prime Voyager suffered from this as well. Some areas in truck mode don't want to stay together without the weapons being attached to hold them together; if you lose the weapons, you'll lose the ability to keep the legs together. I am worried about the waist area joints. They are tight which is good, but I'm not sure the plastic will hold up overtime. Overall, they could have nailed Bulkhead as a Leader class. A slightly larger truck mode would have been awesome and the robot mode would have been a bit bigger. This is my reason for 4 stars. Other than that, I think it was a great attempt to give Bulkhead a G1 look and I am very happy with the figure.

Detailed, very cool looking toy.
Bought as a gift but would buy one to have for myself. Nice detail. The transformation can be a little difficult but is made to well. Looks good in both formations.

Love it!
I never got into the Transformers Prime cartoon. So I can forgive that he doesn’t look much like a Prime universe figure. But I absolutely love this G1 version. Fun to transform. Great looking robot and alt modes. Great possibility and great paint. Nice tight joints. Def one of my faves.

Great Addition!
I really like this version of bulkhead. I've never had him in my collection, and now that I do I'm kicking myself for missing out on collecting the first edition transformers prime figures.

Awesome
I really like the action figure. It took me a while to figure how to transform it. But Bulkhead is worth the money when if you liked the Animated series or the Prime series.

This is just a great figure. Very bulky like his name suggests. Lots of fun to transform. I've transformed him multiple times. Great in both robot and alt mode. Sweet weapon storage in alt mode. I really like how his back canopy turns into a riot shield in robot mode. Such a great toy. Highly recommend.
