Cliff Top Din Cigarette Lighter Adapter, Compatible with BMW, Ducati, and Triumph Motorcycles

This is not just a power port but a full fledged heavy duty cigarette lighter socket with a ceramic insulator. I would love to give this 5 stars but it has some problems. The tip is so blunt (and mine was a bit off center to) that it damaged the first 3 Powerlet sockets I tried to plug it into. You will want pre-expand the positive terminals of your Powerlet sockets with a ball point pen and be very careful while inserting. I would not want to insert while driving.Updated finding: I added a 4th picture comparing it to another plug from a different vendor. It may not be so much the blunt ness of the tip but the shorter outer portion and longer inner portion that is contributing to the missalignment. I will be very careful while inserting these.

Works well , built well. Perfect for those using a smart phone with a USB system.(lower profile) I am using it with a garmin gps and the height of the DIN adapter and the garmin male plug means I need to have it just right as to not interfere with the handle bars while making turns.Works for me no problem while avoiding the extra wires that come with the other models. Again my review has a lot to do with with the location of the DIN outlet on my Triumph Tiger 800Xc...................Hope this helps You guys.

1 star off because it's unnecessarily bulky and I have a tight fit location wise. There are better models, but this one worked until I found something better.

Works like a charm. I bought this for my R1200RT LC and it works very well. It plugs in firmly and stays put while riding. I was concerned with the quality and operation since it is less than half of what other BMW adapters are selling for, but I have no complaints. It was even offered on Amazon Prime, so it was here quickly and in time for my last trip.

If you own a BMW motorcycle this will not stay in your powerlet. I'm not sure what the answer is; I just know it's not this adapter.

Very well built

Works great on my BMW motorcycle. Allows me to use a small battery charger with a cigarette lighter plug to top off my battery.

Compared to the one I brought at a truck stop this is a far higher quality product for half the price. It plugs in without sagging and still doesn't sagging when the lad from the appliance is plugged in. The body is a solid one pice moulding, it doesn't spring apart when you plug into it. The body also has flats on it so it doesn't roll around. The outer contact is also a seamless tube adding to its rigidity. And unlike its more expensive rival it doesn't get hot in use. An absolute bargain.

This is a cheap, flimsy adapter.Faulty out of the box, never worked.Could tell after I plugged it in that it would fall out far too easily which didn't matter as it never worked anyway.

Just what I needed for my satnav.
