7975 Micro-Therm Flameless Heat Gun

It just works!If there was only one complaint it would be the lack of a lock on the trigger - you need to always hold the trigger. Understandable for a product like this, so a minor complaint. Otherwise, this thing is wonderful. It lights super-easy, heats up super fast, and offers pinpoint heat right where you need it. The heat deflector that comes with it is very useful to apply heat to a very small area without heating what's behind. For example, I needed to apply heat shrink tubing to some wired in a tight space but I could not afford to heat the PC board components right behind. This does the job. Fantastic product!

I was looking for a heat gun to use instead of just a lighter when I’m away from an outlet on a job. This thing really never worked correctly. I can’t believe I paid almost $30 for it, and it never worked properly. Look elsewhere.

Using it for smartphone repair, definitely FAR more convenient than a heat gun, NO DOUBT ABOUT IT! The portability makes this the ideal tool for my small business! So far I have had no issues with the device, the heat generated is plenty to work with and much safer than an open flame!(It's main use for me is to loosen adhesives holding sensitive items to the board or other locations.)

Works well, does what is supposed to do. Only issue is having to buy cartridges. Cartridge provided is no refillable. Iroda gun apparently provides a refillable cartridge.

This is the second of these I purchased. Both worked well at first. However with use they seem to fall apart. There is an issue with the ignition spark. With both units the case separates when pressing the trigger moving the wire that causes the spark. These are expensive for how long they last. I would look for a more robust tool.

It's price for what it is, but for small jobs it is just about perfect. Compared to some of the other hobbyist (low heat) guns it is much more "micro" and easy to use for the small jobs. For bigger jobs you need a real heat gun, but having both is perfect. It's nice that it takes a regular (square edged) lighter as a "fuel cell".

Item was difficult to ignite and shut down safely. It operated inefficiently and intermittenly. I substituted a low flame match torch.

The flamless heat gun was as advertised and arrived when promised. The product will work as a portable heat gun for heat shrink, espocially with the adapter. Good price and function.
