These shoes are worth their weight in gold! Pros: 1. They fit well, and are quite comfortable to wear. 2. I have long, narrow feet with long toes, and this pair of shoes fits me comfortably. When you’re buying hiking shoes, make sure you have a little extra room in your toes. (This makes descending easier). 3. Great traction! The sole is perfect to use on any terrain, no matter how wet. I climbed mossy hills, rocky mountains, stood by a slippery river bank, touched waterfalls, and yet, I didn’t slip even once! 4. Keeps your feet dry. No matter how hard it rained outside, no matter how wet the rest of me got, my feet stayed dry and warm. 5. Easy to clean. I walked on a muddy road to reach a small waterfall. The shoes were caked in mud, but were easy to wash and dry. 6. These shoes gave me the confidence to climb mountains, walk by a river/lake, reach waterfalls and basically do anything without the fear of slipping and falling. I wish I’d found these shoes years ago! 🥰

Oh my god, these shoes are incredible! I bought them right before a trip and wore them on the trip without even breaking into them. I walked 10+ kms in these shoes on the first day and climbed sand dunes and rocky hills during my trip - these shoes provide amazing sole support, the best grip I have ever seen and are surprisingly light weight as well. To anyone looking for good trekking shoes, don’t even think twice about it. Buy it already! Would give it 20 stars if I could. I am so happy with this - I am now a Columbia fan for life!

Always have to buy half size larger in Columbia shoes. Thankfully 8.5 UK was available.

Very comfortable to wear all day in an office or for short- to medium-length outdoor walks. Be aware that Columbia shoes tend to be narrower in the mid-foot and toe box areas. If you wear wide shoes (like I do), it is probably a good idea to order a wide-size and one shoe-size higher than you might usually wear (even if you don't plan on wearing thicker socks. I did exactly this and have had a great experience with these shoes! I've worn them in post-snow conditions and trust them to maintain grip & traction when either slick or slippery. When wearing them in cold weather, with thicker socks, my feet did not get too hot or cold either. They were also very inexpensive! Great all-around shoe!

This is my third pair of these shoes and the quality of construction and the comfort they provide remains constant. I will buy again

I ordered a pair which was promptly delivered. On the advice of some of the reviewers here, I went a half size bigger which was spot on. Putting the shoes on first time, I did not get the ‘comfort out of the box’ that Merrell is known for and I almost returned them. I am glad I persevered, though, as wearing them an hour or two a day for a week broke them in and they are now comfortable. I did have to change the insole - the ones that came with the shoes were hard and hot. A good buy for the price.
