Using it on a 30 litre biorb cube & it's working great. The fish are happy & healthy, as are the shrimp, so the water is getting oxygenated fine & the filter cartridge still has the same amount of dirt in it each week. If it starts to sound a little rattely, then I just push the air stone back down firmly. The air syone gets replaced every fewmonths anyway once it starts blocking up from my very hard water. The pump itself is so so quiet. It doesn't buzz at all which was amassive relief after the rediculously loud biorb pump buzz, where the sound was travelling down the airtube and the sound was comming from inside the biorb. This one just has the sound of the bubbles & that's it. Really impressed with it.UPDATE:I've had this now for 3 or 4 months and it's still going strong. I've noticed once my airstone starts to get clogged it will start making a quiet buzz, but as soon as I change the air stone, it's virtually silent again. The fish are all still fine using this pump, the kuhli loaches at the bottom arn't gasping for air, the fish swim all over the tank, and the sensitive oto cats are still alive and active, so it's doing a great job.

Working fine to start with, very quiet but sadly only lasted for 5 months before failing. Started making a funny noise then stopped pumping air altogether. Not happy to have wasted my money on this.**UPDATE** I couldn’t contact the seller but fortunately had kept the box which had 1 year warranty details and customer services email address. Having emailed explaining my problem, a replacement pump was sent out to me within a few days. So can’t complain about the customer service here, just make sure you keep the little leaflet in the box!

I've gone through many noisy pumps for my small aquarium - boxing them in, hiding them away - to no avail. So I was doubtful that this would be any different - I was wrong. It is whisper quiet with no vibration. I don't hang it on the tank I put it on the floor - but therein lies a problem. If you place the pump below the level of the air stone, then when the pump is off, the water can flow backwards - as this unit does not come with a one-way valve.In fairness, the instructions make this clear.But I was able to use the tube and valve from another pump unit, so that's OK.So if you are going to place it below the air stone, you must buy a one-way valve.

I purchased this along with the Double Sponge Filter Super Biochemical Filter Sponges for Aquarium Tanks. I already have an air pump which I use with a larger air stone (the air stone that comes with this one was a bit small) and I wanted this for my internal sponge filter. This pump is small but compact and is absolutely noise free. It comes with an attachment so that it can be hung from the side of the fish tank and also comes with tubing. It looks larger in the picture but size isn't everything, as it does what it's supposed to do. I was very impressed.

Fantastic! Just had to write a review for this 1! I've got several airpumps and 2 are connected to sponge filters both of which was stated as 'silent' when I bought them however, I have to run extra filters in both tanks so I can turn the airpumps off at night as they are so loud I worry the fish won't get any rest or me as I can hear them in another room! But this little bit of kit is awesome! I plugged it in an thought it was broke! It's that quiet! I looked in tank an saw bubble's which told me it was working 😂 I'm so pleased with it I ordered another for the other noisy replacement, just a shame they don't do 1 for a 240lt tank as I would get 1 for that too!Really is brilliant and really is silent 👍🏼

What a perfect little air pump !! This pump comes with a hang on the tank clip , Airline , Suction Cup , Air stone & manual , Pretty powerful completely silent , Low power consumption when in use and should be positioned above water on the outside of your fish tank works very well in aquariums up to 15 gallons / 60 litres , Well recommended

This little miracle has saved my fish I think! It’s early days but my fish were all swimming around the surface of my tank (due to suspected low o2 from a rubbish filter) and within an hour of putting this air pump in my fish all seem to have come to life!!Swimming around the whole tank doing what fish should do! They seem to like it too and keep going right up to the stone to investigate!It was super easy to assemble and it is so quiet I can’t even hear it at all!Very pleased!!!!!

I originally thought this was a great bargin as i only wanted gentle bubles for my tank. It was quite silent and hangs on the side of the tank. There is no return valve which is a must on all pumps. worker for about a week then it stopped working. It could be ideal for a small tank like a biorb but its not ideal for anything else. I returned mine as it was not fit for purpose.
