Not sure if this is just for men? After reading all the reviews it looked like a good deal so I thought I'd give it a try. I'm looking for a strong hold and shine and this promised both. Underdelivered. I got incredible stiffness (aka way too much "hold") but no shine at all. I tried using less and my hair was less tacky but the product didn't do anything at all. Not sure how everyone who's getting such good results is using this...

I've tried a lot of hair gels and most are pretty similar to your basic "LA Looks" style product. This is different; they are using some kind of polymers or something. Normally with hairgels you get dried out flat pieces stuck in the cap; this one, the material left in the cap stays more moisty and stretchy/stringy. It's a significantly different chemical approach than other hair gels I've used. Also, I find this is more than enough hold for my purposes; the blue stuff is still the gold standard for hair "glue" but this has a lot of hold in its own right.

The smell is not bad, but if you have allergies to smells this is not a good choice. I smelled it as soon as I ripped the Amazon package open. I could not go all day with the smell---had to wash my hair again. I was hoping to finally find a replacement for Bed Head's Creative Genius that was discontinued about two years ago. Creative Genius was perfect with no smell, good shine, and really held. With people having so many allergies these days I don't know why the majority of body products have smells.

Keeps my hair soft while defining my curls.I love it. It’s supposed to be a medium hold but this doesn’t get stiff at all.

I gel and comb my son’s hair daily for school and this one has an amazing hold, but it isn’t like glue. It washes out so easily. Good smell too.

I felt like this was mixed with something..i had purchased from a salon before and it’s nothing like it.

I can't find this stuff in stores anymore. It is the only hair product I will use. I hope this will be made for the foreseeable future. It is just hard enough to last all day while it makes your hair look shiny and healthy. It has pleasant light smell. It is the closest thing that I can find to give Leonardo DiCaprio style hold to my hair.

I used to use the blue but for the money this is perfect
