First cast and caught a 1lb perch, so yeah it works, and fish are bigger in order to eat the sand crab, its a good product overall

Red fish fishing bait
Bought this bait to be used during surf fishing in Texas, heading to the Golf of Mexico. Red fishing time.

No scent at all
Unlike many Gulp! products I have bought in the past, these had absolutely no smell. None. I fished with these all day 3-27-21, for about 8 hours on different rigs, not a single bite in salt water, not even a crab pulled on it. Complete waste of money. Do NOT buy.

Worth a try. I will try them again.
I did not catch a pompano. I did catch several whiting and crokers. The bait did not stay on the hook very long. I recommend putting the hook from the head to rear. I also put a live sand flea on the hook. No one was catching much that day. I will try them again.

they work great to get fishing started while you look for live ones or if live sand fleas aren't available

Very pessimistic when i first tried these. Boy was I shocked! As good as live bait... no. These are BETTER. Try em.
