Very Nice Bi-directional Scan Tool
The Innova 7111 OBD2 Tablet - BiDirectional Scan Tool is a very good contender in today's scan tool world. Solid software with wide manufacturer coverage. The big leading feature is that it comes with free lifetime software updates, as do all of Innova's scan tools and readers. This scan tool is well suited for the do it yourselfer, as well as the pro. The only thing missing is a topology view, if that matters to you, and isn't a function limitation. The 7111 has all the features found in other scan tools... I/M readiness, real time data graphing, OEM level PID/code awareness, resets, calibrations, and so on. It encased in a pretty rugged body and has Innova's popular RepairSolution2 built into it.

New scanner with lots of potential
This one by far is top of the line by Innova. This was a big step up from my old 3120. It can do your basic obd2 scan or go into depth. I have used it on a few vehicles so far. So far, it takes a few seconds to load up, no bad. For the most part once connected to the car ECU it can tell you what vehicle it is, only had one so far that required me to type in the vin to know what vehicle it was. I had one car take a while to scan, however only thing I notice was i wasn’t in a wifi zone. The scans are comprehensive, can even lead you Amazon to purchase parts if needed. There was a recent update, which makes the picture for this obsolete now, you got 6 options instead of 4 like it shows. Only thing I dislike so far is the manual is online but downloadable. The manual does need tweaking. The obd2 connection does detach, which at least by the time of my purchase didn’t say anything about it. There are various items on this scanner that are not functional yet. Such as a TF port and from the looks of it a camera or light sensor on the back side. Customer support has been helpful but can take a while for response. Overall it works great, haven’t been able to use all the functions yet but hopefully soon. With as new as this unit is I would love to see what new update come about to increase its functions overall.

Helpful but not $500 helpful
There are a few problems with the 7111, it's a little slow on loading, and when do a report and it gives prices for the parts it's way off, it's not bio directional, it does have some resets depending on the year make and model, I have plugged it up to a few different cars and found different things I can and can't do, it does take you deep into your cars system and is very helpful but not $500 helpful

As close to a Professional diagnostic tool as you can get without the expense and ongoing fees
The media could not be loaded. It's super quick, easy to maneuver, very user friendly and gives me the information I need to fix my check engine light, including the parts and a link to purchase from my chosen vendor. Additionally, with emission readiness, live data streams and the ability to view drive cycles, it has a predictive failure piece with a percentage of its possibility and complete service maintenance schedules. Now, I can be fully prepared for our vehicles future.

Bought mine Nov 2020``
Hi all. I bought this when it came out Nov 2020. I worked as an Auto Off and On for the last 30 years. Much better than most of the DIY models. Wouldn't compare to a Much more Expensive Snap On or OTC. Found it worked on Batter Registration, Oil Light Reset. SOme Electronic Parking Brakes. My Biggest Problem is with the Software. Initially it wouldn't connect to a Hidden FiOS Router. Had to buy a seperate router to use with this. Downloaded Update. Now it see the FiOS. Ran a couple of Updates. A few months ago it went to perform an Update. Error Message. Now? Won't Update anymore. I would have to send it back to Innova for them to Repair the unit. Shipping from NJ to CA is Horrendous now. One day I will have to send it in.

Great scanner for what it is
This is a basic scanner, it will not code or program anything just scan. It will also help you with basic trouble shooting. I have alot of scanners (autel, ancel, xtool, launch, tech2, etc.. ) but this is the first scanner i go to for a scan. If i need to get more in depth ill go to the appropriate scanner. I love how i dont pay for anual updates that i do on my others. Overall i would recomend this for any DIYer for personal use. You wont regret it

I wanted to love it but it was slow and buggy.
I thought this was going to be a nice unit but it is extremely buggy and I don't trust the data. Where to start... Right away I would get error messages that the VCI (the cable) wasn't attached to the unit, Despite a 90% charge I could plug the unit in to the charger then the VCI would be recognized. Then you could take it to the car. It seemed to read codes ok but the live data was totally unreliable. My battery voltage showed 0.04volts. My oil temperature showed 32F. (It's 80F outside and the engine is over 200F). Also if you used any more than one graph at a time the screen seldom updated. All in all I thought it would be a great tool and couldn't wait for it's arrival. Now it's going back and I cannot wait for a refund. I'm going to look for another bi-directional scanner but it won't be an Innova.
