Skinwalkers at the Pentagon: An Insider's Account of the Secret Government UFO Program

Excellent Book detailing ground-breaking research into the paranormal
Warning! Spoilers ahead!!!It's been a long wait. After "Hunt for the Skinwalker" and after Bigelow shut down NIDS, there have been nothing but rumors and tales from uncertain sources regarding Skinwalker Ranch. Many people like myself have maintained an intense interest in the ranch with no new information forthcoming for many, many years. And many people have been unhappy that Mr. Bigelow has kept a lot of NIDS' findings confidential - however, Bigelow funded the entire operation, so that is his prerogative. This excellent book covers a lot more than Skinwalker Ranch and maybe the most important take away from it is something that John Keel picked up on a long time ago - when you go chasing the paranormal, the paranormal often comes knocking on your door. It comes at you from many different directions and in many different forms. This is a phenomenon that been largely left out of most UFO-related literature. It all seems to point to the importance, maybe the primacy, of consciousness. This point alone makes "Skinwalkers at the Pentagon" an important book. The UFO/UAP phenomenon goes way deeper than the simplified, old-fashioned nuts-and-bolts approach.I think this is a great book. Well written, ground=breaking and extremely informative. I only have three problems with it:(1) When it comes to descriptions of cryptids, it is extremely lacking in description. The werewolf or dogman-type sightings give almost no detail. The sighting of a dinosaur-type creature on the ranch is another example. The book would have greatly benefitted from more visual detail regarding those events.(2) The book was very heavy on the details surrounding military acronyms, chains of command, and their interworkings. Maybe the authors felt this information was needed to legitimize the book, especially in light of the attacks and downplaying they knew would inevitably comes from career skeptics. It made for some pretty dry reading. But, at the same time, it brought a lot of credibility and seriousness to a subject that is often painfully lacking in those qualities(3) They had access to one of the best - if not THE BEST - remote viewer in the world (Joe McMoneagle) and they only used him once? It is strongly implied that there was more remote viewing done than is described in detail and maybe there is a reason they left it out. But to include only one surface-level description of what was apparently a non-human, invisible humanoid creature and give us just one drawing of an aerial view of the ranch sketched by Joe.... Well, let's just say that, from the RV-related info provided in the book, it feels like a huge potential was wasted. There are so many ways Joe could have been targeted and so much potential information gathered through his remote viewing that it seems like a great opportunity passed them by. Future-targeting, for example, could have given the researchers guidance on when and where to point their technology. RV sessions particularly focused on the small humanoid Joe described - where he originated, his activities, his intentions, etc. - could have been invaluable. Targeting Joe on the upright wolf creatures (or the blue and red orbs, or the shadow beings, or the dinosaur-type creature, as examples) could have possibly provided a lot of information and a lot of insight... All for a fraction of the cost in implementing high technological devices and equipment.I can't help but wonder why it is that none of the authors and scientists seem to realize that a lot of the phenomena is extremely similar to demonic hauntings? Right down to the "hitch hiker effect"? As scientists, I'm sure they are very averse to any seemingly religious angle. But the facts are the facts. The similarity is glaringly obvious. But no where (and not in Knapp and Kelleher's earlier book "Hunt for the Skinwalk" is this discussed in any detail. It is frankly surprising that no one considered the possible potential in attempting some religious provocation to incite manifestations - manifestations that could have then been documented, recorded and studied via technological devices. All in all, it's a great book. I've already read it a second time and I'm sure I'll read it again at some point. The paranormal is always a very difficult subject to study and I applaud their efforts. It is easy for us to second-guess their work from our viewpoint, where we benefit from hindsight. The fact that everyone involved kept an open mind and did their best to research this elusive subject deserves gratitude and recognition. For anyone interested in cryptids, UFOs/UAPs, the paranormal, the mysteries of consciousness and the true nature of reality; this book is a "must have". If you are at all serious about these subjects, you need this book.As an aside, the research on the mysteries of Skinwalker Ranch goes on. Brandon Fugal bought the property and hired his own team of researchers to study it. Their work can be seen on the show "The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch" on the History Channel. As another aside, for anyone not already familiar with Skinwalker Ranch, it would probably be a good idea to read 'Hunt for the Skinwalker" before reading "Skinwalkers at the Pentagon".

Absolutely Fantastic and Serious Book
I enjoyed reading this book and came to appreciate the amount of work done during the AAWSAP program. I do hope other programs can be kicked off (if not already) to resume the physics research.

Hiding in Plain Site
Ever since reporting of abductees that were transported to medical tables on space craft, the public has had a novel interest in the humor of the reports that their elected officials had lied about. The betrayal of our governments who repeatedly lied to us, was distressing. This book clearly reports what has been reported and explains the history. The reader will finally acknowledge that there is something we have not been told about! The future is questionable to some.

Very Difficult Read
I would give this a 2, but I believe the book to be sincere. So I will charitably give it a 3. But begrudgingly. It is not a good read. At all. It’s hard to read. For one main reason: the book has several authors, and unfortunately you can tell. The style is ALL over the place. Some chapters are extremely well-written and engaging, and others as perfunctory and dry as watching paint dry. How the heck did anyone sign off on including page after page of completely irrelevant and uninteresting “behind the scenes” stories that only served to pull the whole book down into an unreadable tome? They absolutely did not strike balance between sharing amazing stories and also giving pertinent back-story.So one chapter will have you on the edge of your seat, and another be filled with endless details about who said what when, boring history stuff that absolutely no one except a researcher would be interested in. Really - the book could be cut down by 2/3 for the amount of actual interesting and relevant info provided.Very, extremely poor editing in this regard. All I can say is, besides the price was way too high for such poorly written and edited material, there are some interesting chapters and tidbits you may glean from it.I’m sorry not to give a positive review. But I just can’t.Wish I hadn’t wasted my time on it.Oh and it gave me nightmares. The parts that were well written, were a little “too” well written, because I think they are true.

skinwalker investigations
An in-depth account of the phenomenal activities that have occurred over theyears. Much more will need to be researched before any concrete conclusions can be reached. The individuals involved must be praised for their dedication for this work and deserve all the necessary resources the government can provide to protect them. The world deserves to know the truth.

Our world is not ‘normal’ and we have the science program to proof it
Absolute amazing read. Finally the paranormal get a serious (and open) investigation by the intelligence agencies using the the scientific method. The results speak for themselves: there is something more in this world then current science understands and it is a force to be reconned with. Any so called skeptic or non believer should read this. Hope you can cope with its implications.

Superbly written. Incredibly compelling.
For me, this book is the benchmark standard to which all books that tackle the subject of the "paranormal" or unknown should be written. For years I've heard of the Skinwalker Ranch "hitch-hiker" affect, while never having it fully explained. This book sheds bright light on this subject in great detail, and the subject matter also somewhat explains why this is not spoken about openly. I would say the subject is taboo, and to the uninitiated, would seem completely outlandish and far-fetched. To those who have studied the case studies of such things (I'll just say it, of "dogmen"), it's all too familiar, and another incredible piece to a puzzle that seems far from, but ever closer, to being solved. The most fascinating thing about this book to me is the structured and systemic analysis, the professional and scientific approach to pursuing an explanation for the phenomena, the manner in which it is simply and succinctly detailed, and the credentials of everyone involved. Considering these factors, you'd be hard pressed to dismiss the testimony and evidence.I personally know family members who have witnessed and been traumatized by such phenomena (in the UK), so this book comes as somewhat of a relief and validation that this is something that is being experienced by others elsewhere. If you are reading this review, you probably found this because it sings to your interests, and I would absolutely recommend this book to you.

The most insightful book for decades
There is no equivalent to this book. It is written by the very people who conducted AAWSAP. It reveals a lot of details never heard of before. And it gives numerous clues about how to proceed with investigating the phenomenon. An invaluable contribution to UAP research, a true MUST-HAVE.

Fascinating!
An exhaustively accurate and factual account of a one of a kind Investigation into a so called "fringe" subject matter that most mainstream media/academia are terrified of covering. This book is a triumph of intelligent inquisative qualified people risking professional suicide by investigating and scientifically documenting one of the last known mysterious "phenomenon " open to query. Anyone with an interest in the great unknown of UAP/Paranormal events should read this book. Bravo.!
