Yes, you can use as a leave-in scalp treatment. You would apply Soothing Scalp Tonic directly to scalp with finger or cotton ball and gently massage.

No. It will not stain your hair green.

Q: Is this used to protect your scalp from chemical burns? Or should I still base with petroleum? Would this replace petroleum?

I would not use it to protect your scalp before a relaxer. The peppermint opens your pores so more than likely it will open and allow the relaxer into your scalp
