my chair has only been put together for a few hours as i write this. i will update if ever i encounter issues, but it arrived in great shape in two boxes, via fedex ground, both roughly 50 lbs each. assembly was easy. build it in place on a protected surface to avoid scuffs and such, using the tools they provide, plus a phillips screwdriver that they do not provide.some thoughts:1) it’s quite sturdy: i had ordered a different chair at first and it was much lighter than this one, made of mostly aluminum. the abate stand is quite heavy as is the frame for this chair, and i believe both are made of steel. my intended use is for inside so it doesn’t matter as much for me, but i presume a heavier chair/stand is much better for outdoor use as far as wind blow overs etc. i believe there might have been a complaint about minor rust - i shouldn’t have that problem with it being used inside, but i’d still pick this over aluminum for outdoors bc of said heaviness and sturdiness. rust neutralizer and spray paint can help with the rust spots if it’s a bother. also, and i can’t stress this enough, read the assembly directions and follow them. the reward is a chair that solidly swings with no squeaks .2) pillows: some reviews mention it could use another pillow to support the head and neck and i agree. however, i am happy that it doesn’t come with the second pillow, as this gives me the option to personalize the look with a pillow of my choosing.3) no strap provided to keep the chair from turning: a lot of the chairs that i’ve sat in in person had a webbing strap that attached the spine of the chair to the hanging frame, i presume for some level of safety to keep the stresses as intended on the hanger base. and just to keep it from twisting around. this is not a big deal, i’ll probably jigger up something but it’s the one thing i do wish they would include.4) rounded bottom: most of the chairs i was able to physically test had a flat bottom which i felt was comfortable, or had a curved bottom like this with side arm cushions, which i didn’t care for bc the side arm cushions really made me feel enclosed. so i wasn’t sure what to expect, but am happy to report that it’s quite comfortable and one can sit in it legs down or up and cross legged without a problem.overall verdict: buy with confidence, it’s totally worth it! note: i had hoped to purchase this on prime but the day i finally decided to pop, amazon no longer offered it. after much hand wringing, i went with cymax and everything went thru seamlessly. i believe modway drop ships for all the sellers even possibly amazon based on how the shipping was described. it came in two separate fedex ground shipments of boxes that weighed roughly 55 lbs each. fedex tracking isn’t as great as amazon but everything arrived fairly quickly and although one box looked a tad beat up, contents for both were fine.

Great to sit in and relax. I would get a pillow to support your head, otherwise it’s perfect.

The seat is not as deep as I expected. At 5'4", I can sit comfortably, but there’s no room to prop up my feet. The cushion also doesn’t stay in place, as others have noted, and it's frustrating to constantly adjust it. When the product arrived, it was missing a screw cap. Although the seller responded, it took 7-10 days to receive the replacement, which felt slow for just one piece.

Personally, I think this chair much more attractive without the stand, but that was not an option for my open rooftop deck. This is not really a look you see in urban outdoor spaces where I live, but I really wanted it (I find the swinging motion calming), and I'm glad I went with my instincts (even though some people tried to talk me out of it). I worried about whether it would blow over in high wind, given the height of the stand. To be safe, I secured the (wide) base with sand bags of sorts (ABCCANOPY Heavy Duty Premium Instant Shelters Gazebo Weight Bags - Set of 4-40lb Capacity per Bag), filled with pea gravel. The chair recently survived a windy weekend with 40+ mph gust just fine. The one caution I have for anyone for whom wind is an issue is that I bought a waterproof cover that I intended to leave on it at all times when not in use, but it cannot be tightened enough around the swing (or the base) to prevent it from catching the wind and ballooning up, which makes the entire unit much more susceptible to tilting. I junked the cover, and just store the cushion when not in use. Will update if that becomes a problem.

I love this chair! It is very comfortable, it was not too hard to build, but requires two people at certain spots during the building process. I bought it with the stand, and it is easy to move around on my front porch. I do bring the cushion in at the end of the day, or if it looks like rain. I do not want it to be ruined, and it makes sense that it would be hard to dry out properly if it were rained on. The only issue I have is that I will have to order one for my husband because I keep finding him sitting in it!

Got here in a flash! The base of the stand is 40 inch diameter , the seat is like 30 inches wide, 30 inches deep..easy to put together, the cushion is gushy, but could be thicker with constant use, its going to flatten.. I will eventually refill memory foam chips, and with a solid fill, will have much better support ( that will last a long time). Have this indoor, and with a small foot stool, makes a perfect nap chair for listening to music, reading, etc..Will probably buy more - just great!

We had to find a small pillow to fit on top of the seat cushion for your head. When we want to relax your head hit the back of the chair, because the seat cushion came just to the top of your shoulders. I am 5’4”.When we kept getting in and out of the chair each time the cushion had to be readjusted. I would get out,get something to drink,and had to find a place to set my glass so I could readjust the cushion again!! May be some straps at the top and bottom only,so it would not interfere with flipping the cushion over, and secure it!!!!!!!!!! With adjustments that you could make in securing the cushion it would become a 5 star!! I could probably sleep in it!!!

Can't say enough good things about this swing! It's perfect, comfortable and gives both a gentle bounce or gracefully swings. I love the seat which is thick and plush and perfect for comfy seating for long periods of time. It's also made of material that appears not to show off pollen or dust and seems easy to clean or dust off.Looks and feels well made and sturdy. Easy assembly with two people. Worth every penny :)
