I did a lot of research on kayaks I'm a bigger guy and wanted a higher weight capacity kayak and lots of storage and few other features it moves super smooth threw the water it's very comfortable to sit in for hours I have 2 bad hips and knees and no problem sitting in at all can't wait to fish again and Brooklyn kayak was great hard issues with the shipping company and they worked with them to get it to me because I work a ton of hours a week thanks to them super happy so far would recommend for sure

It’s a nice kayak, thoroughly enjoyed it but on my first outing I hit a rock with the paddle and it instantly snapped leaving me to paddle up river with pretty much one side. I would recommend the kayak but get a different paddle.

I ordered my BKT13 with both the peddle and electric Trolling Motor from their website. Customer service is fast (they replaced my retention clips and front compartment cover free). The peddle drive is secure without the retention clips in normal conditions due to bungee retention console! The kayak is nice and is fast going forward or reverse. I am about 185 bs and as the boat too narrow and floor to small make fishing with any tackle box or even a little 6-pak cooler impossible with the peddle or trolling motor - this is a better kayak for paddling/fishing or peddling/recreational use. It is beautiful (green camo). It peddles nicely but it revoles about 5 inches above floor. Customer Service says it is designed for thr peddle drive or motor to break if it hits bottom to protect them... making any propulsion incapable with shallow streams or rivers - this is then a lake kayak accessible from a dock. The retention clips are fragile and this is my major problem with the kayak pedal drive. It is very stable. It has good storage. I ordered extra retention clips, and as normal precaution an extra Propeller and Rudder (all parts are inexpensive). I like the price and the boat. These kayaks are really fun in lakes!
