Excellent Multipurpose adapter...
This is an excellent product. Well made and multipurpose. This adapter got 3 different threads. an M42x1, 42mm and 48mm. You can use this adapter for,1) Connect a female 2" 48mm ring to another female 2" 48mm ring2) Connect a M42 male to a 42mm female3) Connect a 42mm female to a 2" 48mm ring femaleI bought to use it as a coupling adapter for linking a female 2" 48mm ring to another female 2" 48mm ring and it works good.

Exactly What I Needed
I needed to adapt a 1.25-inch telescope filter to a 2-inch eyepiece and this was the last piece in the puzzle I put together. They make adapters for this purpose, but most of them will not fit into a 2-inch focuser, and this worked well for that purpose. It is well made and inexpensive.

Threads are not machined well
Poor thread machining made it difficult to use. Luckily my application does not require removal anytime soon.

Quite good, would buy again.
They actually work quite well. I wish they were a bit bigger, but I would definitely purchase again as I need more adapters.

Threads jammed
I screwed this into my image train. I wanted to make a change. The threads jammed and I could not get it loose I first tried a strap wrench then I had to use channel locks with a towel. I do not plan to ever use this item again.

Female M42 threads are vomitingly bad. Poor thread quality.
Female M42 threads are vomitingly bad. Poor thread quality. It stops about half way. and feels like its chewing up the threads on my focuserNot crossthreaded. Just bad female m42 threadsMust be slightly wrong thickness or spiral shape or something.it went on easily for the first couple turns. then feels like the threads are locking up against each other.but I think it will work anyways.
