Fairly simple install, for amazing results
The instructions were pretty straightforward to follow. But once done, does an effective job of keeping the bowl clean. As a side note: if you have a bowl that is dirtier than usual, you know, it's turning a different color, then clean it the traditional way. After that, amazing results!

Work Great but Can Be Very Difficult to Fit Properly
I bought a few of these for a vacation rental and our own home. In some toilets, you will find that it is very difficult to find space to allow proper functioning of the flush mechanism. In one case, the lid would not sit well on the toilet tank after installing the Kaboom. If you have a large float, it will be difficult to find room for this. I ended up purchasing some chlorine spa tablets rather than buy the expensive Kaboom replacements. After about 30 days, I'm pleased with how clean the toilets are. I can smell the chlorine (or whatever Kaboom uses) when I enter the bathroom. Some people may not like this, to me it signifies "Clean". Wish they would come up with something that would be a better fit universally, tho.

Amazing
Really liked how clean it keeps my toilet, I ordered some Clorox bleach tablets for pools to use instead when the bromine tablets are used up.The tube didn't fit on some of my fill valves, so I heated it up with hot water and began prying it open with some tweezers. Was able to get it to fit on after a couple of attempts

Highly recommend if you get's toilet stains often
I bought three of these and put them in each of my toilet bowls. Before this product, I swear our toilets would get yellow stains within a week... We recently moved into a new place and it must be the hard water. I did a bunch of research and decided on these because they are low maintenance, last a long time (the tablets), and it puts the tablet water directly to the toilet bowl rather than in the tank where it could sit and damage parts. It's working great, I now need to clean less than once a month (depending on the toilet and how much we use it). It's been great.

Helps prevent discoloration, but not quite scrub free
Had a written my review a few months ago, I probably would have given it 5 stars. I installed them in 2 toilets, one of which I scrubbed clean beforehand (as per the instructions). I chose not to scrub the other so I'd have a control, as it were. I'd read in other reviews about water leaking from the screw on lid, so I made sure to screw them on as tightly as I could, and never had any problems with that. A few weeks later, I made the following observations: 1. The pre-scrubbed toilet still looked surprisingly clean. Something about the water here causes a toilet bowl to quickly become discolored after cleaning; with the kaboom installed, that really didn't happen. 2. It's best to follow the instructions. The unscrubbed toilet didn't magically become sparklingly clean, though it did a good job of staying clean once I scrubbed it. 3. One of the toilets has lower water pressure for whatever reason. In this toilet, the kaboom lowered the water level in the bowl by at least .5 inches. There was no noticeable difference in the other toilet. 4. Of course the product is Scrub Free: it doesn't scrub, and it doesn't force you to scrub either. Depending on your standards of 'clean', however, you may still have to scrub. 5. There may have been a slight scent at the very beginning, but if there was, it either went away or I quickly got used to it.Over the next few months, some discoloration gradually built up, though nowhere near as quickly. The clear plastic tubes attaching the kabooms to the fill pipe became very cloudy, though water still passed through just fine. At about 3 months, the states of the toilets quickly worsened and it was clear that the tablets were gone. That seemed fair enough, since that was the advertised approximate lifespan of the tablets.Fast forward another 3 months. I finally decided to remove the kabooms from the toilets (since they weren't doing anything). With the water drained from the kabooms, I was surprised to find that both still had parts of a tablet remaining in them. I had been convinced (based on the state of the toilets) that there had been one left for 3 months. Whether or not it contains any of the 'active ingredient', it certainly hasn't been helping my toilets (or at least not noticeably).

Clean bowl, happy flapper
I had avoided bleach tablets that you place in the toilet tank in the past because they cause the flapper to degrade quickly, leading to noisy running toilets until I would break down and replace the flapper. That wasted time and money. That is, until a friend told me about this system. Because the bleach water is sent directly into the bowl fill / overflow tube, there is no issue with corrosion of the flush components or tank bolts.Installation was quick and easy, as is filling / refilling the container. The only two small issues I have with the system are:It does produce a moderately strong bleach odor after you flush, andAt about $5 per refill, the refill packs are significantly more expensive than even name brand tablets that go in the tank, but I haven't been able to find an alternative that is appropriately sized, and I'm not keen on the idea of trying to take a standard tank tablet and trim it to fit in the Kaboom dispenser.
