Anself Wooden Shaving Soap Bowl Shave Cream Cup Cleaning Mug (Type 1)

This bowl is a bit small for the new "designer" soap pucks, but placing your puck in the microwave to soften it up will allow you to push the puck into the bowl. One of those old-style hard soap pucks will fit in there, but it leaves some space at the bottom due to the curve of the bowl. A baseball fits neatly into this bowl with a little room around the outside. Outside measurements are: 3-3/4" across, by 2-3/8" tall. Inside measurements are: 3-3/8" at the top of the opening and about 1-3/4" deep.I love this bowl over the metal and ceramic bowls/cups. I use mine in the shower, so this one gives me some grip and isn't as slippery as the metal/ceramic ones. If I drop it, the worst that will happen is it will crack, but not permanently dent (metal) or break into shards (glass/ceramic).During use, I typically get a lot of lather around the outside of the bowl since it is not that deep, but I just wipe it down with a washcloth when I'm done.If your a shower user, I definitely recommend this one. It fits neatly in my palm and is easy to grip.Pros:- easy to grip- doesn't take up valuable real estateCons:- small, so you'll have to form your soap puck to fit

I love the wood. It is good size for the standard soap puck and to hold in your hand. Bigger would be more difficult to use. I was unsure with other reviews saying it would somewhat small but this is the right size. Sure, when you lather up the lather overflows, and that's a problem HOW??? When done I turn it upside down and run it under the faucet to rinse it off. I wipe it dry and it's done.I had a similar sized ceramic cup and knew that someday when I were to drop it, it would shatter and yes, atfer about a year, i dropped it and it shattered. Since this one is wood, I worried that this one would split if I dropped it. BUT!! I did drop it and it bounce and was fine. I would buy this agian.

This wooden bowl is the perfect size for me it’s about 4 inches wide and has the perfect depth. I have a regular soap dish from the art of shaving which I use for work days because the soap is already in the dish but I also use shaving cream from the art of shaving for this bowl for my days off. I like to use this bowl when I have time to really pamper myself and shave 3 times to get a really close shave. I also like this bowl for traveling, I just pack a small tube of cream and I’m good to go. I honestly feel like this bowl is worth much more than I paid for it, Don’t look any further just buy it.

The bowl I received does have a significant 2 1/2" split on the inside that appears to go all the way through to the outside. The split on the outside is approx 1 1/2". You can clearly see where the splits both on the inside and the outside have been filled with wood putty and touched up with stain. Fortunately for me I did not purchase this to use as a shaving bowl that will be exposed constantly to wet conditions. It was purchased to use as a photo prop which it should do nicely as it is an attractive bowl. Had I received one without a split I would have been thrilled with the quality/craftsmanship.

Love all of it. Bought it to have an implement deep enough to whip up a serious thick shaving lather.

Perfect size for whipping shave cream with a brush.When finished I rinse clean and dry with a towel. Never had any problems with the finish or cracking.

Loved the look and feel. The finish is not as good as it should be for a product meant for exposure to moisture. The finish flaked and wore quicker then it should; which led to a crack. I'm a woodworker and understand that all wood needs refinishing with exposure to moisture. However, this product should have had a more durable finish. If you buy this product, plan to apply a coat of finish within the first year to prevent damage.

Good looking bowl. Nice finish and fits well in the hand. My intended purpose for this is use with tube shaving cream and a brush. I don't know how well it will work with a shaving soap puck.
