Never say never! : )
I never would've thought I'd eat insects in any form unless I was drunk and/or forced to by unusual circumstances, but after hearing for years that in the future we'll be eating them, and then reading Eat Like a Human by Bill Schindler, I decided I could try hiding this in a few things to increase my protein. I mostly add it to my flax meal crackers that I make, and I barely notice any difference. I've even increased the amount I add. I already get a good bit of protein in my diet, so haven't gotten too creative beyond that, but it's a pretty easy entry into the concept. I still sort of say never to eating whole insects, though. Time will tell....

Quality Unmatched
I chose Entomo because of its location, product care and quality. I was not disappointed.

Highest quality I’ve used
I was using cricket powder in my smoothies a few years ago and stopped when I couldn’t find organic on Amazon any more. I was pleased to see this available now and it’s the best cricket powder I’ve tried. The smell is milder than some I’ve tried and it blends well and is flavorless in my smoothies. I’m not about to try a spoonful though. 😆

Great concept. Poor product.
Although the concept for this product is strong, needed and visionary in what it does for environmental and food production innovation, it's product execution is poor.Pros:- Removes the foot print of meat production.- Offers a complete protein source.- Very affordable food source as production scales.Cons:- The product literally tastes as it smells: like your pet reptile's terrarium!- Taints the flavor of whatever its added to.- Is a bit pricey.Suggestions.In the future, this product could be better produced if the processing was refined:- Jerky approach: Roast the crickets with savory flavors like nuts, hickory, mesquite etc. add something else to create a unique, less overpowering buggy flavor.- Remove buggy aroma and taste: use steam, boil or sun dry to leach out the smell/ taste before processing.- Protein shake blend: Get the powder less overpowering, finer and bland with various flavors of whey or soy protein or other supplements.- Pill form: Keep the formula mostly the same but put them into tablets or capsules to be taken several times of day.Although I felt so ethical and proud when I bought this product, I had to concede to my friends disgust. Despite gulping two shakes down, by the third I had stop lying to myself. I threw out the container and get the bug taste out of my mouth.

Great, nutty flavor
I love how this is incredibly more sustainable than red meat. I still love red meat, but supplement my diet with cricket powder as well.Jam packed with nutrients (omega-3 anyone?) Also, a great alternative to whey powder or lactose sensitive individuals.

Interesting stuff! :)
It's very skunky in a GOOD WAY. If you're a keto or carnivore person, you'll understand this. Like when you use pork rinds and crush them up for breading? It has that sort of EARTHY mega animal aroma to it. Very nice! I add it to my nut butter to meat_it_up_a_bit :) This is good stuff. I put it into meatloaves, burgers, nut butters, wherever I want to put some carnivore into that isn't.

Mix into other foods
Cricket powder mixes well into other foods. I've put this into smoothies, ginger cookies, and a lentil curry for a boost of protein, prebiotic fiber, B12, etc. I like that it is just roasted and ground so not highly processed.
