The floss material is like plastic and it doesn’t clean well.

Not to brag but I recently started flossing after decades of my dentists suggesting I do so. After starting with Oral-B Deep Clean, I switched to the Oral-B Glide Comfort Plus, and I find it much more effective for my routine. It feels high quality and offers a more thorough clean than other varieties I've tried. Pros: Superior Texture: Unlike the Deep Clean that felt too slick, the Comfort Plus has a bit more "bite." It grips between the teeth effectively rather than just sliding through, which makes my mouth feel cleaner. Great Value: Purchasing these on Amazon was significantly cheaper than buying them at my local grocery store. It’s definitely worth checking the price here before a refill. Effective Daily Driver: It’s comfortable enough for everyday use but strong enough to feel like it's getting the job done. Cons: Slight Tension: I noticed a bit more friction when pulling the floss out of the dispenser compared to the Deep Clean version. However, it’s a very minor trade-off and certainly not a deal-breaker. Final Thought: Personally I found the Deep Clean to be too slippery, the Comfort Plus seems to provide a more tactile, deep cleaning feel.

My dentist specifically recommended I use this with the crown on one tooth. This says "floss," but it's more like tape and is pretty stretchy and flexible. It rarely breaks, unlike other flosses I've had. Overall, it's agret value and works as expected.

Great floss! I tend to be an aggressive flosser (yep, a little OCD), and this is my favorite floss. It gets into those areas where my teeth are a little bit tight. The mint flavor is always a plus. Remember, you only need to floss the teeth you want to keep! Stay healthy!

I finally found dental floss that doesn't shred in your teeth. This is the best dental floss to use. I love it. It is very strong and durable. I will keep buying it. This is an honest review. Sincerely, Georgette C. Wojt.

I began utilizing Glide Floss more than two decades ago when I read about it on an online forum. Regular floss was always tricky to use because I had tight spacing between my teeth, so the result was shredding and pulling, and the floss always got stuck. Once I found Glide floss for the first time, I could floss normally without snagging, shredding, sticking, or harming my gums. But now, that has all changed. Unfortunately, Oral-B has altered the material of their floss due to PFAS chemicals in the previous textiles. While I understand the need to remove such substances, the company did not take much time to research or test better alternatives to the current product. The way that I can explain its look and feel is that of plastic. It is not very good, and unlike any floss I have used in my life. I do not understand how the company thought it was an acceptable alternative. First, the floss snaps into your gums as it enters between the teeth (something you feel and hear). It is then so hard that it cuts into your gums (it made my gums bleed – they never bleed otherwise – ever). I also had difficulty removing the floss when moving to the next space. At times, it felt as though I might pull my teeth out, and it was so challenging to extract. I floss, use a WaterPik, and use proxabrushes daily; I never miss this routine. Additionally, I just had my cleaning, so there is no chance I had any buildup that would have made the task more demanding (if anything, it should have been easier). Corporations as large as Oral-B and Procter & Gamble (P&G) usually go through significant R&D before releasing products to the masses. I have a hard time believing that their research found that the majority liked the new floss material. It is not enjoyable and does not do the one job floss was made for and invented to do. My teeth and gums are still hurting from the one use. I purchased a pack of three, flossed with one of them once, and am returning all. Unfortunately, after more than twenty years of only buying Oral-B/Glide tape floss, I must move on. They lost a lifelong customer by releasing a product I cannot use, and I am sure most others cannot either; the act reeks of no research or consumer testing. I hope they put in the work to offer a new and better floss to replace the old, perfect product because this one will lose them many customers (and, more importantly to corporations, profit). I advise staying away unless you want your floss to do you more harm than good (seriously).
