I’ve never had a phone with wireless charging but just recently went from Android to the “Dark Side”. That would be iPhone 14 Pro Max, 2 of them actually. His and Hers, so to speak. So I’ve had to change out my car chargers. With my Android phones (Huawei’s, guess China won’t be reading my texts anymore) I had vent holders that held my phone with some arms and you would attach a wired charging cable directly to the phone. Well, moving up to wireless charging using Apple’s MagSafe I found that I didn’t need a vent mount with arms just one that had a good magnet. I’ve heard of iOttie and I did some research. Good reviews, nice clean design and surprise surprise, it works. According to the reviews that is. So being cautious I order one and put it in my wife’s car. Yeah, “hey Mikey” so to speak. Came by Amazon delivery, a truck no drone…Dang! Packaging is very reminiscent of Apple packaging which is to say nice and neat. Charger is pretty minimalistic, kind of a blue/gray puck that doesn’t shout at you. Cable is attached to the puck and the other end is usb-c that connects to a lighter plug (included) that goes in your lighter socket. I’ve got two older cars that don’t have usb-c plugs so I can’t say if you could bypass the cigarette plug and go direct to usb-c so you’re on your own in that regard. Set it up in the wife’s car and slapped on my brand spanking new iPhone 14 Pro Max with a MagSafe case. Works like a charm. You don’t really have to slap the phone on you just hold it up close and it just kind of gets sucked on to the puck. The only criticism is how to stiffen up the mount. It attaches to the vent with it’s fingers but when you put the iPhone 14 Pro Max on it the puck face droops down a bit. Have to realize how heavy that Pro Max is. I’ve tried removing the mount and turning the ball socket at the rear to see if I could tighten it up but that doesn’t seem to work. It’s not a big deal but I’d like to get it at the absolute perfect position but it keeps eluding me. As I said, not a huge deal but wish it had this adjustment feature. Now realize that this thing charges at like 7.5 W so it’s not fast charging but it is charging. After deciding that it was well made, looked good, and it worked I bought a second one for my car. Guess that says it all. Can’t go wrong with this charger. “Yum yum, get you some”. Cheers

Well made product, dark color blends well with my car interior. The vent mount prongs are strong. I have a MagSafe compatible phone case, the phone holds on perfectly to the mount. The ball joint in the mount allows some adjustment of angles. Note: I had to learn that the vent blades and ball joint need to adjust to with other to hold your angle properly. The USB-C charger fast-charges my phone well.

The initial reviews for this product seem to be overwhelmingly negative. After a few days (and a couple hundred miles due to some longer trips recently) I can share my experience using this mount/charger for hours at a time and minutes at a time.To start, I tried out the Belkin MagSafe mount (basically the same price) first. It “worked” but for the price I felt it was a let-down. This brings us to this product. When I purchased it there were no reviews and I figured “let’s give it a shot”.The air vents in my car have vertically oriented slats (doesn’t really matter but you get the picture). The material for this mount is like a soft plastic/silicone feel. It feels solid and durable. I mean, what do you plan on doing with this thing? It should just be staying inside your car…doesn’t really need to be built like a tank if you ask me.In terms of comparability, it works great with my iPhone 13 pro (even with a MagSafe case on the phone). The phone snaps on and off with ease and feels like it is attached well to the mount. This is confirmed by my hundreds of miles of driving with my phone on this mount. The phone stayed on and didn’t rotate or do anything crazy all throughout my journey. Adjustment is very convenient if you want to tilt/angle your phone a certain way.Now, for the CHARGING aspect of this device. I love the idea of wireless charging implemented into a car mount. I think it just makes sense (coming from someone who has had their phone charge by wire in the car for years). With this device, I find that charging works very well. At the max Qi output of 7.5W, charging speeds were adequate. I am guessing that the phone receiving cool air directly from the air vent behind the mount helps keep components cool and increase charging efficiency (if you’ve ever used a wireless charger you know a byproduct of the process is a decent amount of heat). To give you an idea of charging speed, my iPhone 13 pro went from ~20%-80% in 1.5hrs WITH maps running the entire time, music playing in the background, and brightness ~70%. Not too shabby if you ask me.My ONLY gripe with this device so far is that the wire running from the car charging power adapter to the charging unit connects directly to the unit. Meaning that the CABLE can’t be replaced, which I find a bit silly given that the end of the cable is a standard USB-C connector going into the car charging adapter provided. In a future version of this product, I hope they consider using a standard USB-C to USB-C cable to power the charger from the car. Just my $0.02.Hopefully you found this somewhat helpful. I use this product every time I get in the car so I’ll be sure to update if anything notable changes regarding my opinion/experience with it :)

Headline says it all. The magnet is strong, the charging works, and the air vent insert works well. Its got everything you need. Way better than the cheap generic mount that I had before, which would constantly drop my phone any time I hit a pot hole.

Tenía mis dudas respecto a que se quedara sujeto en la ventila con todo y el celular (mi celular es grande y pesado y hago notar que las ventilas de mi coche son horizontales) pero debo admitir que ya llevo algunos días usándolo, circulando incluso en caminos de terracería y vecinales, y en todo momento ha cumplido satisfactoriamente su función, sin caerse. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.

I like the way this thing looks, feels, the cable is really long and it’s easy to mount, and the magnets definitely hold onto my iPhone 14 Pro - but the actual charging portion doesn’t seem to work with the included adapter, so do make sure it fits. I had to go and buy a different one but it works now and my quick test drive over ramps and potholes has it holding on well.

Honestly super disappointed in product and ended up returning it. The mechanism for holding in air grill is good, but the whole holder (due to ball joint) doesn't fix at all. Phone just dips max amount down.
