Functional thermal tape
Replaced manufacturer ESC-heatsink thermal tape, and is still doing a good job at transferring the heat. Very sticky once set; fairly thick, can be cut easily, quality is good. Note that it's fairly difficult to remove residue if you remove it after it has set.

Great for heat sink
Used to put a heat sink on a Starlink router. Worked great. Has strong hold and cut nicely.

This stuff is awesome!
I picked up a roll of this tape, not for its usual use. Oh, I will be using it for future computer builds, but I needed it for an unusual use. I'm a ham radio operator and retired EMT. As a ham I do a lot of public service activities and I volunteer as a weather spotter for the National Weather Service. I drive a well-equipped Jeep with several radios, emergency gear, supplies, and equipped with emergency lights and strobes. One problem I've had is that I can't attach anything permanently inside the cabin, so my microphone mounts and switch mounts have all been of the 3M adhesive type... except it kept failing due to the extreme heat we've been having here in the south and southwest. In particular, the switch to control my strobes simply would not stick for more than a day or two, and the mic holders were falling off every night. I'd pick the mic and holder up off the floor when I went out in the morning, scrape off the 3M foam automotive grade tape from the older and put a new square on and it would fall off again several times during the day, even with the A/C on. Then I thought of using this stuff... BAM! No more mic holders falling off! No more switches dangling under the steering column! The switch and two mic holders have stayed attached all summer so far without even once falling off or dangling! We've had some days well over 100℉ with temps inside the Jeep hitting close to double that and it's all still secure. This tape is great!

I could have used less and gotten the same effect
Worked ok but it did peal the paint off the wall when needed to reposition the tape. I was able to use this tape by myself to hold long sound proofing panels to wall although I did use a few screws for extra security.

Heat sinking an electric scooter charger
The charger for my electric scooter is running really hot. How like I can’t hold it hot. Should not be like this I think. So I’ve ordered a new charger and in the meantime decided to try an experiment. I used this thermal transfer tape to stick a decent sized heatsink onto the charger. It seems to work in that it’s keeping the temperature to a reasonable warmth. The charger is pushing 42v so that partly explains the warmth, but it shouldn’t get too hot to hold. Anyway, have to use thermal tape rather than any usual two-sided tape to make sure the heat is transferred where it needs to go. So far it’s working. I’ll update this review if I find otherwise, but the thermal tape is sticking to the plastic of the charger just fine so far.

Impossible to tear and nearly impossible to get blue backing off adhesive
Tape holds well, similar to the wider version. My problem with this narrow version is that it is nearly impossible to tear it so I can separate the blue backing form tape. I have used the wider version for years and thought I would try this narrow version out but for me this tape is hard to work with. When cut with scissors it makes it even harder to pull apart. Not sure how a tape half the width is so strong??? So if you have good nails or willing to take the time to get the backing apart maybe try the wider versions for sale.

Works great!
Used this to more tightly attach an aluminum smartphone case to a smartphone, to avoid overheating during longer Luminate app sessions. (The app makes extensive use of the flash.) Now my case gets hot instead of my phone, and the aluminum is better as dissipating heat to the air than plastic. It's also useful in general, easy to tell when there is some process eating CPU like a chess engine left on in the background by accident, and then go and fix the problem. I have so much of it left however. Hopefully will find other uses for it over time.

So, I cut a chunk this size> 1-3/16" x 3/4" I have a TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI D4 mother board factory heatsink they are flat aluminum very thin double sided thermal tape # (x002TZHUPX 1"x66') very thin. I put it on the bottom of the chunk I cut out. the first pic is show you where the controller is on that brand name SSD on the flat part of the factory heatsink over the controller is where you want to pull more heat out of the SSD. It still run warm it takes longer to heat up now it runs 36C at idle, and at heavy gaming it hit 40C. I drop 2C with the New Peerless Assassin 120 SE COOLER 3 fans over the Hyper 212 BLACK 2 fans before the extra Heatsink for the Controller. On a i7 12700KF 12GEN 10 fans air cooled only. (room temp 25.4C / 77F) It been on three days, two days 2hr each day game play. So far pretty happy but may have to get an aio to help cool a bit more. I hope this help some others.

This stuff takes a bit to get used to but once you get used to it it is simply amazing. I will most definitely be buying more for future projects.

I bought this to adhere heat sinks to a video card. The stock heat pad sagged under high loads resulting in the heat sinks hitting the fan. I hoped these would perform better. They didn't. They are even less adhesive than the stock material. Really annoying, since I'm back to square one.
