The dominoes fit great and hold enough dominos for beginning a round of Mexican Train. There is a slight tilt in the slats where the dominos go, which is great so you can see what you have without tilting the holder by hand. They are also very lightweight and seem like they could break easily, but only time will tell. They "were" also plain wood. I'm not docking a star because I knew what I was ordering. I remedied it by asking my daughter to paint them for me. She did a flower theme on one set I ordered and a planet theme on the other.

The only problem I have with this was it didn’t come in the box so I can keep them together, but the right size

Like that, you can get these extra tile holders for the games. Can't wait to my son and his family play it.

Works great for my dominos. I stained them gray to match the color of the poker table i built. Used half paint and half water so it was watery and soaked into the wood and wiped off after about 3 minutes. I do that so i can see all the wood grain. Then sanded with a 100 grid real fast to smooth out everything. Just to know the gaps are to big to hold cards from normally playing cards or board game cards.

These racks are perfect for playing Mexican Train without having your tiles fall over every 10 seconds! Each rack has 5 rows that will hold a total of 20 dominoes placed horizontally. It comes with small felt squares to put on the bottom of each rack to increase stability and prevent scratching the table surface. Very pleased with this purchase.
