Replacement
This replacement was easy to install and works perfectly. Installation took about 30 minutes including taking the shade down and putting it back up.

Works great
Since you can't buy a blind with a pull cord on it anymore I decided to make my own mechanism , that stays in place. So all I have to do is remove the old blind install a new one and the up and down pulls stay in place.

Did not work at all
The cord lock was easy to install using YouTube videos for the gadget BUT, once I installed it, the moveable roller did not catch at all. I used the same cord, 1.8mm as advertised on the bundle purchases and still not grabbing it no matter how much I hold the cords at an angle.Seems these were cheap since they didn’t grab the cords at all.

Works. High quality with two brass gears.
Five (5) stars for quality, especially for having two brass gears as pictured. Some other brands show two brass gears, but delivered one brass and one plastic gear. Two (2) stars - no clear instructions as to how to properly thread 4-cords through gears...improper threading led to three tries before figuring out the proper sequence...seems the cord vertically-closest to the cord lock need be threaded closest to the slot closest to the wall -- which I found anti-intuitive.

Good enough. Doesn't always lock.
The product arrived as described. I installed it with four strings on a Roman shade. It won't lock or is very finicky and falls easily. I believe my string may be too thin for the lock. Recommend a detail in the description to that effect.

Works great!
I don’t sew at all but I do a lot of construction type projects. We bought a house with high end custom drapery and shades but for some reason they did not have cord locks on the shades and it was driving me crazy. I managed to install one of these while the shade was still hung up. It was a little challenging because of the angle and number of cords but it would be a BREEZE if they were installed while making them. I am very happy I can keep my shades up :)

Light Weight only
Not strong enough for a medium heavy blind. Both fell apart after less than a month of use. I’d say use only for light fabric.
