Whirlpool W10346771A Genuine OEM Produce Preserver Replacement Filters - For models W11462816 , P1KL6S1CS and P1FB6S1

This filter helps keep the fridge fresh, but does from time to time need the extra boost that a box of baking soda provides. My first impression was tainted by the placement of the filter. I am sure this issue rests with the fact that the design engineers don’t consider the consumer when they designed the refrigerator. Once you are able to access the compartment the filter installs easily, but in order to access it one must first empty a shelf of all contents and remove the shelf entirely from the the machine. It can be tricky due to angles when the shelf meets the door housing. Once the shelf is out the filter goes in in 10 seconds. All that is left is getting the shelf back through the tight angles back into position and reload whatever perishables that have not perished in the process, and reset the reminder to let you know when it is time to change again, as if you don’t have a nose to assist with that.

But I don't know that it's working.The thing that bothers me is that everything references that there are only 2 packets, but there are actually 4 in here, and there's only one indicator. There should be 2 indicators.Why isn't there another indicator???

Recimmended to keep vegetables salad greens fresh for longer periods of time..each packet is good for 6 mos. and has a visible graph to telll you when to replace. It goes inside a plastic container that attaches via suction to the back of your crisper.

Really glad to keep getting these for our fridge. Helps keep things fresh and find that they do exactly as expected. I also love the ease of the subscribe and save + the sensor on the product to keep up replacing them.

First, this product performs great. Second, this product should be labeled "Whirlpool W10346771A Produce Preserver refill." Third, if you do not already have a "holder" in each of your vegetable / fruit drawers to put these into, you will not be able to use these unless you purchase one. If you do already have a "holder," even if it's not a Whirlpool / KitchenAid brand, you should still be able to use these refills. If you "do not" have a holder, you can purchase a starter kit from Whirlpool that will include a complete setup for "one" vegetable / fruit drawer -- holder, test strip, 2-pack filters that both need to be placed inside one holder: https://www.whirlpoolparts.com/PartDetail/Deodorizer/P1KL6S1CS/4280137. I had to call KitchenAid to find this starter kit because KitchenAid / Whirlpool refers to it as a Deodorizer. After you purchase the starter kit or if you already have holders, you can purchase this "refill" item which is just the 2-pack filter refills with test strip for "one" drawer. I don't purchase refills at the KitchenAid / Whirlpool site because I can buy these cheaper on Amazon. The original product, FreshFlow Produce Preserver with packets and test strips, was delivered along with my new KitchenAid Refrigerator and works great. The strip gradually turns red to let you know when to refill the holder (refill about every 6 months). Just make sure to purchase as many of these as you have vegetable / fruit drawers, e.g., two drawers = two of this refill item -- one for each drawer.

My fruits stay fresher longer, very easy to install and really like the timing guide which lets one know when it's time to change out for a new one.....no more guessing when it was last changed. Reasonably priced too.

The description states 3 count. It does not mean there are three packs. It seems a bit deceitful.I do get it that there are three parts in ONE packet, but have never encountered such sly description as was given.

I can’t tell yet if it works as I only just put it in.What I can say is that the instructions say to put in both packets, but only one packet fit in the compartment of my refrigerator. I had to fold it over to fit. I have a Whirlpool.There’s a little piece that’s an indicator of when I need to change the filter. It fit right in. Since I couldn’t fit in both packets, as per instructions, I don’t know what will be.I think to cost is reasonable.* I write reviews to let you know how this product was for me, and to aid you in your decision to buy or not buy.

I did not pick any stars for flavour. I don't know what it means. This particular filter, if you will, is an absolute must if you want to keep crispness and add longevity to you vegies and fruits. I am not quite understanding as to why people were not advised about this type of product. How much salad and peppers I would have been able to eat rather than throw into the compost.By the way Amazon sells other products that use the same type of system that sits in your fridge tray among you produce and keeps the product fresh sometimes beyond three weeks. Now you can stack up on salad, beens bananas and etc. Your choice is at Amazon. Antonio
