Great product
This was a really good product. Have to admit I was sceptical not being a regular walker. Used for a trek, over 10 miles with absolutely no issues with my feet during or after. I was well impressed and so were my companions, me not being a seasoned walker. Weather was changeable in the day with sun warm and then foggy cold weather and socks felt fine for both. I would definitely recommend.

Warm in cold, fantastic for hikes, unisex use
Socks can be a fickle thing to find an all-season use, let alone hiking or exploring. Finding a wool blend that is more wool than artificial is a feat all its own. After having tried other higher-priced hiking wool socks, the Smartwool is one that lives up to its claims of warmth and functionality without sacrificing style, comfort or functionality. The ridged slope between the toes and ankle offer firm but functional resistance, no bunching or tightness like some other higher-priced brands; seeing as how this is the most flexed part in any step taken, this is key. Toes are reinforced with another thin layer, helping keep toes in place and protected from any chafing; I spent an entire afternoon walking the high-sloped paths of Scotland in a rain with a pair of mid-high Converse with reinforced mouth (don't judge, the hiking boots wouldn't fit in the suitcase to get it closed) and upon the shoes taken off at the end of the day showed no sign of any soreness or blisters. Reliability proof doesn't come any better than that. The pair also withstands toenails far better than most socks, and us fellas aren't the most punctual when it comes to trimming, let's be honest. The design and color options are also stylish outside of a shoe, and while tight don't agitate sensitive skin (merino wool is treated much better than average wool and feels as comfortable as cotton), nor leave thicker imprints after a day of use, leaving your foot and calf feeling relaxed and not sore due to elastic rings (provided you haven't imbibed heavy sodium intake all day and retained more fluid). They're even decent for everyday use and good for cooler months around the house; they've even been known to inspire walks around the neighborhood on a whim with this user. It's appreciated that the brunt of the blend is wool versus others who use acrylics or nylons as the majority, and because of that, the comfort, durabilty and style set these above competitors. I liked these so much I bought a second pair, a worthy investment for when I need a durable sock for outdoor use that won't overburden my foot inside a boot or shoe with thickness or tightness. The cost is justified for at least a single pair for those looking for something for travel or starting an outdoor lifestyle.

Trop épaisse
Elles sont utiles qu'en hiver avec des chaussures de marche d'hiver car trop chaud et épaisse elle font trop chauffer les pieds

Reliable hiking socks
I also have the exact same socks, just with more cushion. Works better for more warm weather. In general really material from my experience. But drying socks and feet during breaks is still obligatory.
