This is PERFECTO! It is sturdy and stays in place with the non-grip on the bottom. The lid came in handy when mashing whole garlic. Took of the lid when I added the rest of my ingredients for mofongo. I see this lasting awhile!!!

Perfect for grinding cacao

Very well made, good weight and design. I've used mortar and pestle we own a few of different materials, this is our first in stainless steel. If anything earth shattering happens, I will update. for now looks good.

For certain applications this will work well. Looks good seems to be made well. Cleans easily. Size is nice. I'm not sure about the texture, it is too smooth for grinding herbs into a powder. I'll have to use one of my others. For course grinding pecans or peanuts. I think this will be just fine. I do like the lid though that's one of the reasons I got this.

Was a great purchase. It is big enough to hold lots of spices or herbs. It's weight helps keep it stable as well the stainless is easy to clean. The anti slip pad does It's job and it looks great on the counter.
