Would this product be efficient for blending a creme-based contour?

Yes! The size is not too big or small so it fits nicely in the contours of the face. Brostles are soft and do a great job blending so contour won't look streaky

How do you clean this brush?

starting with a clean sink and a plug a run about an inch of water, add a small amount of baby shampoo and swish the brush around in the water until it looks clean. I repeat a second time without the soap just to be sure. I then press the excess water from brush and put in a jar with top up.
