use it on the stern. It's too bright to have in front of your face while paddling. Works well for its intended use. I like the side handles, which I use to attach safety loops to the deck to prevent it from being lost. Stays attached to the deck even though it's not perfectly smooth.

Pros: It's a perfectly functional navigation light for a bargain price. Smaller form-factor compared to other options is a big plus. White light is very bright.Cons: Red/green lights are not very visible over significant distances (from far enough away it just looks white) and the suction cup is a little finicky even on a perfectly flat surface. Like most comparable lights, it does not float (but there are many points to attach a teather/lanyard), so watch out for that.

Best option I found looking for lights for my kayak. The suction cup seems to keep it in place well enough, but it definitely moves around if touched at all. So far it has always stayed put when I’m out on the water, but I made clip-in ties for all three so that I won’t lose them if they do get knocked off the boat at some point. The light is easy to use and appears to be plenty strong when I’m out after dark. For the price point of $15 versus $40-$80 for other light options I’ve looked at, I highly recommend these.

The lights on it are great, the suction cup is weak. The magnet is even worse. I had the light base tied down but the magnet was weak and the light fell out and is now on the bottom of the lake. Used in a lake on flat water.

So if this thing wasn't $16.99 I'd probably send it back but for the money It should work.The colored lenses come off but the lights not really bright enough with them on so keep that in mind. There's several modes but it would be nice if there was one where at least the two layers of 360 lights were on at the same time or all of the lights on at the same time. The way they have it set up you can't use any of the different layers of light at the same time and each layer is dedicated to It's own mode/function unless you put it into SOS mode where it flashes the SOS pattern and I don't want that unless I'm in trouble. I like the fact you can unscrew the suction cup from the little black magnet piece because I'm going to use that screw stud to attach this to a pole.

Works well for nighttime kayaking. The suction cup keeps it in place.

As described. It worked very well during a nighttime kayaking trip. The suction cup held in place the entire trip.

Good product except the suction could be better. I attach a cable with an attached carabiner for extra security.
