Perfectly sliced sandwich
I don't think there is a single gadget in this world my husband will say no to because when he saw you could make 2 sandwiches in this sandwich maker he said 'GAME TIME'. He often makes sandwiches in our waffle maker that also can be dually made into a sandwich maker. This makes so he doesn't have to switch back and forth between the two. With the waffle maker, the plates come off so it's easier to wash. The rules on this say to just wipe down. The outside look is definitely dated but they put the best metal on the inside. Much better than you would expect. Although be careful with the heat since my husband carelessly burned himself. It cooks faster than the other one because it is also hotter than the other one.Side Note: I once knew a man who's last name was Sammich

Fits Perfectly...
I was Soo excited when I found this nostalgic little sandwich maker for under$20! But this thing couldn't be cheaper... Every material used in this build is garbage... Including whatever electrical component I could clearly smell burning during the SECOND use of this beautiful bargain product. But it's not ALL fake news folks. Though they don't even mention, what in my opinion is the best feature, that this product DOES, in fact, fit absolutely PERFECTLY, in the garbage. Which ends up being great cuz that's exactly where you put an electrical nightmare sandwich maker!! 👯😃🤨🤔🥪😡🤬🤢🙄 Just let this be a lesson to you all... And just pay for the better one.... It IS too good to be true😔🙏🙏👊

Not for thick sandwiches
Not like the Salton one I had from years ago. First use, I made the tuna fish, green beans and cheese, exactly what I used to make and what I bought this for. This had thicker style potato bread. Half a can of tuna fish on each one, canned green beans with the water squeezed out by hand and two slices of cheese on each. I knew upon closing it, it was going to be a challenge. The old Salton had more clearance and had more metal construction. I tried to close it all the way and a piece of plastic broke off the top. The handle is separate from the grilling surface and this make for a weakness, hence the breakage. I let it cook with it not latched. The latch has an annoying design too. It doesn’t have a stop, so it will rotate too far forward when trying to close it. It didn’t cook the sandwiches even as expected with it not closed all the way, but the cheese was melted. I do like this style that seals the edges of a sandwich unlike the panini makers. That looks like what I’m going to have to buy though if companies aren’t making them like Salton used to.

Flimsy; Feels V.Cheap Plastic; and Small.
It's small, which can be good or bad in terms of your shelf and counter space. However, the size isn't big enough to easily put two slices of bread with some fillings and close it. I had a really hard time closing it and locking the plastic tab, which I ended up holding while the sandwich maker worked. I wish this weight and quality were a little better and the space a little bigger inside for the bread slices. Would recommend spending a few bucks more but getting one that is easier to use.

They don't make them like they used to!
We had one of these a few years back and we used it all of the time. The kids loved the sandwich "pockets". Saw this and the price, so I decided to buy it for a quick easy snack for the boys.... I noticed right out the gate that the hinges on this one is a regular straight open and close, where as the lid on the old one had the floating hinge that lifted slightly for a thicker sandwich. Also, if the cheese melts out (doesn't seal it very well) and gets on the plastic part of the handle, it is NOT easy to clean it off. Used it maybe 3 times and the bottom handle broke off. Picked it up and the bottom handle snapped right off. Such a disappointment. But, I guess you get what you pay for! Will have to look into a nicer quality product next time.
