Better than expected
I wanted a wooden sledge but had to settle for this. For a tenner I'm surprised at how well it has held up after 2 sessions of sledging. I imagined it would get a hole in it really quickly and be an immediate disappointment but so far looks like new after many many slides down a snowy slope. I would still prefer a wooden sledge for environmental reasons but this was a great emergency snow fun buy without breaking the bank.

Let it snow …
The media could not be loaded. There’s no smaller air intake inside the large one (I thought the black plastic would have a smaller valve, it doesn’t) which means when you take away the air pump, quite a lot of air escapes, even if you are really fast with the changeover.I know the bottom needs to be smooth in order to slide down slopes but I was expecting the bottom half to be thicker than the top. So, as much as you can, make sure you know that the slope you are using doesn’t have any gravel, rocks or sharp objects etc underneath, as it looks sensitive to tearing. So without snow, the kids have been playing with it all afternoon, running and jumping on it, lounging on it, spinning it around. That’s when I noticed that some air loss had happened, but it was with prolonged vigorous play, and not enough that you couldn’t use it.

Good so far
You are most likely to find snow tubes made from rubber, PVC, or vinyl. Out of these three choices, rubber is the most durable one, but the others two can make decent products depending on the treatment they had to withstand low temperatures.Sleds are easier to control due to their steering rope. ... Snow tubes are more aerodynamic, and will therefore go faster than sleds. As such, they are ideal for anyone who would like a little more adventure than what a sled offers. Even so, tubes are notorious for being harder to steer. The best inner tube for sledding will catch speed to make sledding thrilling. For optimal speed, towable snow tubes should have a smooth bottom, be treated to resist the cold, and be made of durable material. A durable bottom will be the fastest and ensure that your tube never popsThe fact that snow tubes are filled with air is one of the reasons they are able to go faster than most sleds. Additionally, snow tubes are more difficult to steer than sleds. This makes them a great choice if you want to go fast on a wide-open run and not concern yourself with steering.Stop sledding before it gets dark. Because they are hard to steer, the best place to use a tube is in a tubing park – often found at ski resorts.Filled it with air and let sit for about a week to check for leaks. After a week, it was still full of air. Looking forwards to using it when it finally snows again.(Most tubes are not designed for use by children under six years of age.) Follow the manufacturer's limits and specifications regarding the number of riders, maximum size/weight, and top towing speed. As a general rule, keep your speed under 10 mph when towing kids less than 12 years old.

Have to Let it Snow
Well, I waited and waited, but it has been snow free for so long that we just pumped up this ring to see what it was like. We have others similar to it but for the summer, in the form of rings. This tube sled is different as the middle part is filled in so that you can sit atop it with no fear of getting ice burns on your bottom. It is thicker plastic than the tubes for the pool and the seams are nice and thick to avoid splits and punctures. The very act of sliding down a snowy hill will give it more of a beating, but it looks like it will hold out. It certainly stayed up after a few days of being left alone - many don't.My children love the Christmas design, but it does seem a little out of season now should we get late snow in November. There are chunky handles to hold on to, but the slippy nature of these tubes means that they will be fast down and steep hill and hard to control, best to supervise smaller children and have one adult on the top of the hill and another at the bottom to catch.

Fun inflatable snow tube for kids
This inflatable snow tube is a fun accessory for kids to comfortably enjoy snow sledging. The snow tube has a large 3 in 1 inflatable valve that inflates in a few seconds. It can be used for sledding down snowy hills with style and added comfort to standard plastic sledges. It is made of PVC material which is durable, thick, and resistant to extreme freezing cold temperatures, making it perfect for snow sledding. The back rest has a separate air chamber, so you can adjust the firmness. Two handles are equipped, one at each side to hold onto for safety purposes. The seat is large and deep so you can comfortably sit in it, and it helps prevent sliding out. Adults should always supervise kids when using inflatable snow tube.I would have liked this better if it included a suitable pump for inflating it. Thankfully I have an electric air pump already, so I managed to dig that out and inflate it. I worry about the fact that this could puncture when my young children are on it. So, I guess for that reason plastic sledges for the fraction of the price provide more stability, longevity, and peace of mind.Overall, I find this inflatable snow tube quite expensive but great fun for kids, it looks good and works well but I worry about the durability.

Roll on the snow!
I have not really had a chance to test this product thoroughly as yet (October) as there has been no snow, however from inital observations this seems like a good product. The rubber is thick and brushed, meaning it should slide accross the snow with ease, and the design looks good when inflated too. The product is easy to inflate / deflate and the presence of handles on the top adds a layer of safety that I''m impressed with. Will upadate review further when it's actually used on the snow - hopefully soon!
